Trigger warnings: This is a multiple POV mystery/thriller novel that also includes a heavy focus on a slow burn romance. While not in every chapter, there is some violence that is fairly graphically described (no violent dismemberments or ripping out intestines, though.) I will not be including specific trigger warnings at the top of each chapter. Other potentially triggering subjects touched on in this book are verbal, physical, and sexual abuse of the main character both in the present and in her past. The verbal and physical abuse will be described, sometimes in a detailed way, but there will be no explicit depictions of rape, Instead, it is implied using the "fade to black" method after making it clear what is happening/about to happen. Also on that note, there's no smut. Still some spicy stuff, but I don't write sex scenes. Sorry. Also, explicit language is used, but it isn't going to be every other word.
PLOT
17 year old Bia Barlowe is living in an abusive foster home since her parents died a little over two years ago in a car crash. When she was put into foster care, she was separated from her little sister, Claire. When the foster home Bia has been staying with burns down, killing everybody inside, Bia is pronounced dead. Having accidentally faked her own death, the newly freed Bia sets out to find Claire. Along the way, she meets Will: a charming yet guarded young man with a secret past who, unfortunately for Bia, is able to tell whenever somebody is lying. Why Will wants to go with Bia is a mystery, but she allows him to join her after he helps her in a time of need, and they reluctantly become friends. Together, in their pursuit to find Claire, they must depend on each other as they uncover shocking secrets about Bia's parents, open up about their dark pasts, and go on the run from a mysterious group that wants to use Bia for their own ends.

Hey, everybody (if anyone is even reading this)! I'm super excited to share this book with you all, as I've put a lot of thought into the plot. This is actually my first story on Wattpad, so any advice, follows, votes, comments, or questions are extremely appreciated, no matter what they are. P.P.S. The next page has some character concept collages for how I picture Bia, Will, and Claire. I know that some people like to imagine what the character looks like for themselves, so if you want to come up with your own idea for them, just skip the next page and move straight to Chapter 1.
