My Lebanese wife is the reason I am painting this. My deep red strokes on the canvas were proof of my love for her. I confess that it was my hatred that began with no end. Sweet mighty little devil had dreamt of this moment I suppose, in the empty corridors of my blue house. I could still feel her dirty presence lingering all over my subtle passages. But I ought to finish the painting. The muse behind her singing in her bathing, how much I loved and loathed that I could still hear it. But I must finish my art! My solitude has always been my peace but now it's sneering at me. I could feel the haunting stares, dirty presences, unwanted hums and her... I MUST FINISH THE PAINTING!!!
Do you ever wonder how an artist creates his masterpiece? You may not know yet but you will when you reach the end. But an end is just a new beginning.
Walking by the green grass, a few naughty kids screamed, "Alzafa? Alzafa? Please bring the finest toys you made for us!" As they received no reply, both of the kids barged inside the painter's house. They opened their mouths wide in shock as they saw a tall, fat, gruesome witch with her mouth covered in blood. She walked away from the pool of blood of the painter They saw a tall, fat woman standing beside the dead painter who was soaking wet in his blood. She looked at them with her gruesome face and walked away. One of them ran away screaming that AL Zafar was killed but the other kid was still dead silent that it almost looked as if he was passing away.
The villagers came to see if the boy was telling the truth and they learned that the painter and the boy were dead. They assumed that he was killed by his wife but they couldn't find her. This information wasn't that far to reach the walls of the palace. The king sent his men to find out about the most famous painter's death and his disappeared wife. They couldn't find a trace of her except the painting, the painting they brought home, the King's home.
The King's men passed down the report of their enquiry in the courtroom. And when they were done, they unveiled the painting which caught the King's beautiful queen's attention. The first glance was enough to send her maids to give the information to the King. When the King was aware of what his queen wanted, he wasn't happy but he couldn't reject or dismiss her wish.
The queen looked very happy to see the painting in her chamber. She then turned to the mirror on the opposite wall but her eyes weren't off of the painting.
The queen was in her deep sleep. She woke up as he heard a noise. She wondered if the painting wasn't stolen. She got off her bed quickly and found someone walking past the painting. She could still only care for the painting. She frowned as she found the painting tilted.
The next morning, she screamed at all of her workers aggressively which was unusual to them. She started instructing each one of them to dedicate themselves to protecting, guarding, and maintaining the surroundings near the painting. The King who observed this was estranged by the event but he had more important things that needed to be sorted out. He headed out on a trip to the neighboring country for a meeting.
Days passed and the queen's obsession with the painting grew even more. She would spend her days and nights in front of the painting. She stopped eating, and rarely would she let someone in if it was for water. She wouldn't let the maids clean or anyone into her chamber. When the King returned after his political trip, he was escorted directly to the courtroom.
The information was passed to the king who returned, he was furious. He went ahead to find what she was doing in his absence. He knocked on the door several times but she didn't answer and that made him angry.
The queen was at the door, and when she thought that he was gone, she chuckled. She sat in front of the mirror in her finest clothes and started combing her long wavy hair. With each brush stroke, her hair fell more and more and she started to laugh out so loud that it scared away the guards who were outside.
Some called it mental illness or some called it demonic possession but it spread like wildfire all over the Kingdom. The generals suggested to the king in a private meeting that he get rid of her for the sake of the reputation of the kingdom. The king fell into thinking and he asked them to give him some time.
The king couldn't sleep with the thought of getting rid of his beloved wife. He wanted to see her so he used a secret passage to get inside of her room. He was unsure if he heard a song. His curiosity got him closer and the farther his fear got. When he opened the door a little, he saw the queen in front of the mirror. There was someone behind her. He tilted to get a better view but she walked away. Then he heard the queen chuckle which was not likely to be her. When his lantern fell and broke, the queen and the woman turned to him. They looked pale and their eyes blue, only the queen's mouth was covered in blood. The fire started to spread and the illumination it produced caused the king to see what his eyes couldn't believe. There was dried blood, and dead rats, dead snakes, dead horses everywhere on the floor. He started to run for his life and when he reached the other end, the door was closed. He was shocked because no one knew about this door to lock it. He screamed out loud but no one could hear him. He panted and as he turned to see, there was a demonic witch who held his head tightly. He lost his conscience.
The king woke up and found himself on the bed with severe injuries and terrible pain. The tent was full of victims who were the only survivors from the kingdom. They were all mourning in great pain or to death. When he tried to get up, he saw his kingdom burning in flames. When the doctor came to the unrecognizable King, he found that the unrecognizable king was no longer alive.
Not even the severe injuries caused the king to die but the view of his beloved kingdom turning to ashes did. It did kill him. Only six men were able to survive the catastrophe but none of them lived a healthy or peaceful life. They were tortured with the wounds and scars of their past till death.
After a long time, seven thieves who were passing by stopped to explore the abandoned place that caught their interest. As soon as they learned that it must have been a kingdom, they began to hunt down for treasure or gold like pirates. They were nothing less than pirates but they couldn't find anything after hours of search. Most of them got tired but one of them found the painting that hung on the wall perfectly with not even a single spot. He touched something that was covered in ash like every other object there. Just as he moved closer to the painting, his mate who was looking for him, found him. He gestured for him to come in and told him to pack it up because it may have been worth it. His mate laughed and that made him get down with anxiety, removing his black scarf from his face. He touched another object and shoved the ash on his fingers to his face, telling him that everything there was covered in ash and dust except the painting.
The seven thieves carried it along with them wondering where to sell it. Disguised themselves as businessmen, they presented the Persian masterpiece to the Indian Maharaja. They told them the painting was eternal and nothing could damage it. The Maharaja was not sure if he liked it but he went on to listen to the foreign businessmen.
Then the queen interrupted, 'I shall put the painting where I love to. You may gift them with ten grand!' The disguised foreign thieves smirked.
