Sweet and bitter

Loud rings disturbed my sleep and I had a throbbing headache,thanks to Aiden's moving in celebration that only involved me,him and 2 bottles of alcohol . Somehow I got a hold of my phone while still lying on my bed.

"Do you still have that brown pair of sneakers that you wore last week?"

"Taylor Adams it's-" i checked the time quickly "8:00 in the morning, worry about your shoes half an hour later" "But I need them for my outfit today I'll be at your place in 15" Before i could even protest,she cut the call. "Ughh this woman" Since that headache seemed to stay, I closed my eyes and went to my dreamland again.

Hardly 10 minutes must have gone by before I heard my doorbell ringing. I pulled myself together and got up from the bed and opened the door with half closed eyes, an annoyed expression on my face. "Not the best time to meet you I guess?" Wait a minute, when did taylor start sounding so...masculine, and this isn't Aiden as well... And that was when my brain did an 'ah-ha' moment and I looked up with wide eyes only to find my boss standing there.

"Mr.Wilson,you?" "Yes Ms.Watson, me. I didn't mean to disturb you really, it's just Aiden invited me to have breakfast with him and he ran out of eggs, so he asked me if I could grab some from you?" "Eggs?" "Yes,eggs. Do you perhaps have any?" "I-i'll check, can you wait for-" "Sure.i'll wait here, take your time"

I walked inside still in shock ,making a mental note to cut Aiden's head off. I reached the refrigerator and saw myself in the reflection and good lord! I couldn't look more horrible. I fixed my hair a little and checked if I had any eggs and luckily I had them. The whole pack. I grabbed the pack and dragged my feet towards the door again, only to find Taylor and Mr.Wilson talking to each other. "Mr.Wilson,here" "Thank you, Ms.Watson" "We'll join in 10 minutes,Mr.Wilson" Taylor said while he nodded and went into the apartment across the hall while i stood there dumbfounded cause what did she mean by 'join you in 10 minutes'?.

"Taylor Adams, what did you tell him?" "I told him that we'll be joining him and Mr.Collins for breakfast in 10 minutes so go and get ready" Saying that she pushed in inside the washroom.

CHRISTOPHER

I came back into Aiden's apartment, planning on giving him anything he desired, just for sending me to get eggs from her because my girl looks so cute and snuggly in the morning. Wait a minute,what did I just call her? 'My girl'? CHRISTOPHER WILSON PUT YOUR SHIT TOGETHER!

My thoughts were soon interrupted by Aiden's voice calling me "You plan on giving me these eggs or you wanna hold them forever like that?" "Here" I handed him the pack of eggs she gave me. "And by the way, they're joining us for breakfast" "who?" "Ms.Adams and Ms.Watson" "Call them Taylor and Katherine,will you? You're here as a friend not as the CEO"

"Yeah well do you need help with something?" "Slice the bacon,until I whip the eggs" I nodded and we both started working and after around 15 minutes I heard the doorbell ring and then the door opened. "You know this thing irritates me because of how loud this shit is and yet you have to do that everytime. Do you want me deaf,Watson?" Aiden stood hands on both sides of his waist,eyeing Katherine,most probably, I was too focused on slicing the bacon to look up.

"Yes,I'd like that very much" I heard her reply to him and scoff. I couldn't control myself any longer so I looked up as well and that was the biggest mistake of the day. She looked like a goddess. I wanted to take her with me and worship her. I didn't particularly like what that skirt suit on her did to my heart and further south regions of my body. Has she always looked this surreal in her outfits? Probably.

I realised everybody had settled on the countertops, ready to devour the breakfast while I had already devoured mine, at least mentally for now. "So,how do you two know each other?" Taylor added cutting the silence on the table while pointing towards me and Aiden. "Same old story. Our parents were friends so I was kind of never given a choice" Aiden replied while munching on his omelette.

"I've saved your ass from getting beaten up thousands of times, at least be grateful." I said, elbowing him, "You saved me only because you could also get in trouble,Wilson." "See, he's never grateful" I grabbed my fork pointing it towards Aiden.But while this mess was going on, i noticed Katherine holding her head and i knew what it was since aiden told me about the little moving in celebration. Taylor had a meeting somewhere outside the office,so I somehow convinced Katherine to come with me.

KATHERINE

When we were driving to the office, Christopher stopped the car suddenly,didn't even give me time to process and left the car saying 'wait for me here'. I looked outside to see the car parked in front of a drugstore. When he came back he had a pack of aspirin that he handed and along with a water bottle.

"Since you've already had breakfast you can directly eat it" "What?" "You're having a hangover headache right?. This works wonders" "How did you-?" "You ask too many questions,Ms.Watson. Just eat and i'll check my schedules by myself. You need to away from screens at least for 45 minutes after taking this, so just sit inside your cabin." "But we have a presentation with the design team in 30 minutes" "I'll handle it. You just rest. I can't see you in pain" WHAT "i mean, you're my secretary and if you are in pain or sick that'll be a lot of work for me to handle so it's better this way"

I thanked him for the medicine and we drove to the office in silence. I liked him caring for me. Anybody will. But with the situation right now, him getting attached to me meant one thing for the both of us, destruction.
