From the northern regions of Europe, the land of Yuvell is famously known for its high-class society and populated areas. Their tall building structures, strange but unique inventions, and beautiful people—but that's not only what they're known for. Creatures that were thought to never exist roam inside and outside the land. Strange mythical objects exist, such as magic shoes for swift walking, cloaks of invisibility, keys that can open any door, brooms that can be used for mail transportation, and many more. Becoming a wizard or a witch is in great demand throughout the kingdom. With hundreds of citizens from the entire nation with new spells or unique abilities to present themselves before the king, so far, no one has been able to surpass the great power of the High Wizard himself. Recently, the public discovered a young baker who created a spell to reverse a certain individual to its original state. The fair maiden was immediately recognized by the High Wizard, and that new spell was added to the Spellbook of Calaren. This book was heavily guarded because of the secrets it holds, whether they were meant for good or evil use. But this story doesn't start with the young baker. Nor does it start in the capital city of Yuvell. This story begins in the shop of a seaside town that is not valued highly enough.

This begins with a young girl preparing for the day before she becomes a true lady of modern society.

Living in the country of Yuvell was not easy, especially when you're the sister of two wayward siblings and the inheritor of your family's shop. Sarah Day is the third-born child of the Day family. The Day family ran a shop for handmade crafts. The little shop was a big hit in their area, and soon their business grew because they had such good quality for a pottery shop. It was true that her own mother died when her older brother, Cesare, was nineteen years old, Dorian was twelve, she was eight, and her little sister, Meg, was only two years younger at that time. It was a great shame considering that Mrs. Day created the shop for their family's own good. It was then that Mr. Day invited his proud but charismatic sister, Cynthia, to come live at his place in need of assistance with the shop and children as he leaves abroad during the weekdays. And in an instant, Cynthia became a mother figure to her brother's children.

As a father, Mr. Day was proud of his four children and sent them to the best schools in town. Cesare was destined to be the most successful of them all, as he wanted to be an inventor in the capital city of Yuvell. He eventually left his hometown and became a great inventor, just like he wanted. Cesare wrote letters to his family about his life as the years went by. He became a very well-known inventor, and to Mr. Day and Aunt Cynthia's joy, Cesare was going to marry a young noblewoman and asked them to be there for him. Only Mr. Day and Dorian went to Calaren by boat whilst Cynthia stayed behind to tend to a very ill Sarah and Meg. But Sarah took the time to make a lovely vase with the help of her aunt as a gift to congratulate her older brother. A year later, they received a letter from Cesare, informing his family that his wife gave birth to twins. Following Cesare were Dorian and Sarah. Dorian wanted to be famous, just like his older brother. Though he did not want to become an inventor like him, but a qualified wizard hoping to impress the king or the High Wizard. He would often take lessons from Illevale's oldest magician, Ms. Hillary, a cranky old woman but an intelligent witch. Dorian would even sneak out of the house during the night to join magician cults and practice spells, and he would sleep during the rest of the morning. Meanwhile, Sarah is a studious girl. Her intelligence captivated different kinds of schools for her, but she chose to take over the shop rather than travel and be successful. Truth be told, when she was only six, Sarah began to take lessons with both Ms. Hillary and Dorian, because she had always been fascinated with magicians. Since Cynthia is busy with the shop and her father often goes on business trips, it was Sarah who would watch over her siblings. She is never concerned with her looks most of the time, unlike Meg, who is the prettiest one in the family. But she is destined to be the least successful one.
