He dropped me off about a block away from my grandparents house. I watched as he drove away, he mockingly blew a kiss to me and laughed as he did. I don't know how I got to love him, how I could be in love with a handsome, muscular, sexy voiced, Hanamiya Makoto. It was almost 4 months that we had been going out. It didn't bother him that I was a 3rd year in junior high and he a first year in high school, or that my brother and him would be rivals on the court, that's what I loved about him.

I turned on my heal and began to walk toward my grandparents house. As I got closer to the house I noticed that my older brother was asleep on the porch, most likely waiting for me to get home.

"Hey" I shook him up, his eyes slowly opened them

"Oh your home" He rubbed his eyes as he stood "Welcome home" He hugged me

"Thanks" I hugged him back and chuckled as his childish act, he always gives the best hugs "You know you didn't have to wait up for me" I said as he guided me toward the door

"Well..." He looked embarrassed "I actually wanted to meet your boyfriend, but I ended up falling asleep"

"I told you, you will meet him....eventually..." I avoided eye contact as we both entered the house, If my brother found out I was dating a guy with a reputation for physically hurting people and mentally breaking down women to the point of suicide...he would be so mad...

"Are you going to come to my game tomorrow?" He looked at me and spoke as if he wasn't even up yet

"Of course" I smiled at him as we both headed to our rooms "Who are you guys playing against?"

"Kirisaki Daichi" I halted at those words

He's playing him?! The two are going to be meeting WAY sooner than i thought or even imagined....

"That's good" I smiled even more faking my joy "I'll see you then" I shut my room door and tried not to scream my head off, it was really hard.

I got into my Pj's and sat on my bed. I decided to tell Makoto that he'd be playing my brother tomorrow "Mako-chan, you're playing big brother tomorrow~" I texted but I wasn't as excited as I made my text sound

"Finally" He texted back in an instant "What's his name again?" He asked

"It's not like I've told you 100 times...."

"Sorry....I tune out when you talk about other MEN!"

":)" I knew that he was getting testy, its so like him

"What the fuck is his name?" he said in a demanding text

"My brothers name, is Teppei, Kiyoshi Teppei"

Next Day~

"I'll be cheering for you" I said to Teppei as we separated ways to our schools. Teppei is going to this rink-a-dink school, that opened this year, called Seirin--or something like that-- and I go to the infamous Teiko Middle school, where I play basket ball and do a whole bunch of unnecessary electives (like clubs and stuff).

Lately when I enter the school building, a lot of my old guy pals avoid me and the girls whisper about me behind my back. Good thing I've got one true friend one friend who has stayed by my side....The dual personality maniac himself Akashi Seijuro. I don't know why or how we became friends--actually I do--but I hang out with my Kohai when I can, and when he doesn't ward me off.

"Morning Akashi-Kohai" I wave to him as I pass his classroom

"Hello Takaya" He called me by my full first name, which people usually don't do. They just call me Tak and add a fun ending to it-- like Kise Ryota does.

"Do you want to accompany me to a game that my brother is in?"

"Today? I can't, we have our own game to play" Akashi is the best player in basketball ever! No one really knew his capabilities until Atsushi-kun decided to challenge him for his dignity or leadership--can't remember which one it was-- and that's how Seijuro was reborn...all Atsushi's fault that he's this way...

"Okay, I understand. I'll try to watch you guys as well but you always win so it wont be that much fun" I left him with those words

For most of the day I was engrossed with the thoughts of Makoto possibly hurting Teppei because of how good he is....Makoto has a reputation of doing that to the good players, to the ones who have tried the hardest to get to where they are. I looked at the clock and before I knew it it was time for me to leave so I could make it to both games.

"Sensei" I raised my hand "I have to go for the games"

"Thank you for telling me, Ms. Kiyoshi" He then dismissed me

I practically ran to the bus that was taking a few Teiko students to the game. I reached just in time. There was maybe 20 of us from our big junior high, which made me less than pleased but whatcha' going to do? The bus ride wasn't as long as I expected it would be.

I sat threw the entire boring game that our school put up, and naturally we won...but at what cost? All the guys looked bored, like they wanted to quit but at the same time like it was all a tool to mess with people....

"Next Seirin vs Kirisaki Daichi" I watched as the players entered the court, Makoto wasn't on the court? Oh that's right he said he would be a little late today. I watched the intense and very well played game. The players acted like a team and wanted to win rather than wanting toy with the players' mind.

It was at that point in the game where Kirisaki Daichi could do nothing to win. I looked at the entrance and Makoto had conveniently entered...he looked pissed when he saw the score. He entered the court and eyed me. NO! He couldn't be planning that?! My heart began to race as I watched him play an innocent play.

The Makoto snapped his fingers....never a good sign

"KIYOSHI!" I heard Hyuuga--one of Teppei's teammates-- yell

"AHHHHHHHHHH!" I heard Teppei's agonizing screams, I looked down and Teppei was badly hurt. My eyes began to water....Why is it that the man I love did this to my brother? Why? I ran down to him, he was on a stretcher and talking to his team.

"It's not that bad" he said with a fake smile

Bull shit, it was BAD....probably broken....

I eyed Makoto as we left, and he gave me the 'if it wasn't him who was it supposed to be?' look that he gives me, in return i gave him the 'i'll fucking kill you if no one else does first' look.

I followed as far as I could to the surgery room. Once the doctors said I couldn't go any further I called my grandparents and gave them the vagueness of the situation and told them I would hold the fort.

"Kiyoshi Teppei?" A doctor called as he entered threw the doors

"Yes" I rushed to him

"Family or friend?"

"Family. I'm his younger sister" I looked into his eyes "Just tell me he if he can play basketball still"

"Basketball?" He said in a confused tone "He'll be lucky if he can walk"
