Chapter one

Rin pov
My alarm went off and crawled out of my bed. After I finished my morning routine I glanced at the calendar and saw that today was the school Field trip.

This was a once in a lifetime thing to go to forest and beach as well as other natural areas. There are not many places like this and only people with high status are able to go freely.

So many of the students are looking forward to this day. I was also thinking of celebrating with my friends and drinking some alcohol. I'm going to put the goods in my younger twin's bag. She wouldn't mind and the teacher would be none the wiser.

I put on my storage ring which has all my stuff then fix my hair. I'm very excited because this would be the first time to be surrounded by nature.

Heck all earth and other elements are excited for today if only we stay longer.

I chuckled to myself as I went down the hall and barged into my younger room. She was curled up in her bed and right next to her were old books.

They were neatly stacked unlike the other stuff that was around her. There are many robotic parts and gears that stutter around.

I took a big breath and with both hands yanked the blankets off my sister which made glare at me. She really hates me when I do this but I just scoff at her.

She seriously looks like a child with cheek puff but I notice a bit of redness in her eyes. I rolled my eyes seeing that she must have stayed up for another client order. She has a talent in programming and being inventeur which I'm proud of, however she works too much.

As I was thinking my sister was already ready to see her books as well as many other things for this trip. I gave her a side eye when I saw that she was trying to put weapons into her storage rings.

I left her because I know there is no changing her mind on this. She always had this habit after our parents passed away not that long ago but I just left her still having a bit of trauma.

This left me feeling sad but snapped out of it because I didn't want to be feeling depressed on this special day. There is no going back and nothing can be done. I then speed walked to the kitchen and grabbed a couple nutrient packs and yelled for Lin to hurry up or I was to leave her.

It didn't take long and Lin rushed down the hallway while holding a small book tightly around her chest. My eyes widened seeing it as mother fairytail stories which was her prize possession. I was just a bit nervous for this trip as I grabbed her hand and hurriedly used wind to alleviate us to the train station.

Lin pov
I'm the younger twin and my sister is my older twin. Many people are surprised that we are related and specialize in the part that we are twins. I do agree me and my sister look nothing alike but we have the same light green color as our mother. While I have the same eye color, my father is light pink and my sister has black colored eyes.

In this world people have gained the ability to bend certain elements and they are called element users. My sister Rin is a duo user of earth and wind which is amazing. I, on the other hand, am a shadow user but also a darkness user.

Shadow is common while darkness is super rare which is why it's easy to trick people for they don't know the difference. However, that is a secret that no one should know because they are super rare.

The reason for this is the government because it's a law that people with more than three elements or rare abilities user must be taken. The reason is that they must serve the army and the government.

Many people don't like this however many populations are born with one element. Those born with two elements are not uncommon and would be seen in higher classes. However I was in a special expectation and parents tried their best to make sure no one knew. No one knows other than my sister and a couple of people who hated the government. They used their connections to help my parents to trick the government officials.

Other than that I have lived a normal life well that was after my parents passed away. I have no proof but feel the government plays a part however I choose not to take revenge.

My parents would have wanted me to live life and also didn't want to drag my sister in this mess. Losing both our parents was a hard blow but we don't talk about it.

I try not to think about it but it isn't easy ignoring this hollow feeling. My body feels sluggish and I open my eyes to see my sister shaking me to wake up.

I raise my head and notice the train has stopped and we were at the entrance of the academy. I stood up and began to walk out just like many other people as I headed the same direction.

My sister and I walked together toward our class until I saw a certain blue-haired girl. She crowded with a big group of people as we walked down the hall many clear away so did we.

They wore different uniforms that have the noble crest pin on their breast pocket.  I smile when I notice my sister staring at Edie, the girl with dark blue hair.

She is a daughter of a count and the academy council president and she is loved by the student body.
Not only that but she is in a secret relationship with my older sister she doesn't know about them.

I chuckled to myself and walked away after they left. leaving my sister confused. I didn't say anything as we headed to our classroom.

When we walked inside just as the bell rang, we hurriedly sat down while the teacher came with the guide for today. The classroom was filled with chatter that the teacher had to wave her hands as small sparks of electricity caught our attention.

The guide laughed and then started to speak and explain what was going to happen. For once everyone was paying attention and I was surprised that we were going to the forest that close to the huge lake.

All the water and earth users were excited  while other element users were disappointed which made the guide laugh. He promised them we would get to them and our next  took them to the beach which caused the classroom to explode.

I too was surprised cause the beach is something no one would ever have the chance to go to, not even noble.

When the guide was done everyone followed him back to the train station and waiting there were some of the council members which made people chat among themself.

I caught her staring at my sister which made her blush. This made me roll my eyes at these love birds. I could understand why they keep it a secret by the fact that no one notices them flirting.

I elbow my sister to stop her from turning any redder as I guide her inside the train.
