Chapter 12

Lin pov

I slowly woke up to the sound of the television and saw something that left me speechless.

It was a low level ghoul and creature that I wasn't unfamiliar with.

Edie paused the news while Rin got up close. She had a grime expression as if she slowly got back up.

There is no doubt about that a level three ghoul and the creature was the one that attracted some attention yesterday day.

If it goes rampant there are high chances everyone is going to die and it can't be killed, usually going light. Rin pleads to Edie to help exterminate that goal.

I honestly didn't care much for the people but agreed that this ghoul would ruin the environment or order of things.

It could single handedly kill everyone in this small town luckily for us it's easy for we know it's weakness. The question is should we stay or get out of here.

Those people would most likely be looking for us and staying would not be in our best interests.

I glanced toward Edie and so did Rin who gave her puppy eyes.

Edie wrinkles her nose before letting out a deep sigh as I gave in.

Rin cheered as for me I was worried if there could be more of them out there. That would hinder our plans and if so could there be others out there.

I felt Edie touch my shoulder and nodded her head. I raise one of my brow in confusion but she just not to worry as she left to be with Rin.

They were going through the clothes I bought yesterday and seeing my sister happy made me relax.

I felt my wrist vibrating and saw a text from Edie telling me to get rid of the image and understood what she meant.

I excused myself and went to the bathroom getting ready to hack but was surprised that it was already removed. I bite my lips and come out of the restroom.

Rin linked her arms around mine and did the same for Edie as she dragged us out.

We decided to eat at a local dinner in the far back booth while next the forest was right across from us.

Even though the food was good I wasn't hungry. My mind was full of worry and I was just anxious.

Edie pov

I smile watching Rin eat but I couldn't help glancing over to Lin. She seemed more stand-offish than usual. I started to get a bit worried about her. I have thought of getting her a pet or a companion at the very least for the dog from earlier did seem to make her happy.

I shook my head and reminded myself of today 's goal and we worried about Lin later because we are still at risk.

Which may sound rash and I do care about her but not to worry Rin I began to speak about our plan.

The ghoul is most likely hiding in the forest and in this general area the park isn't far away.

Knowing that its weakness is light and fire it must be hiding deep in the forest. Not only that but people are most likely there as well which is why we need to finish this before sunset.

Rin and Lin nodded their heads and I then asked for the check the waited for me outside while I paid

I couldn't help getting the feeling someone was watching me as I quickly left and led the girl into the forest.
