TW: For systems!!! Please read before continuing, this has mentions of integration, please do not read if this might trigger you.

You may have A friend or friends who has DID and use terms you don't understand. If you have anymore you have questions on, ask and I'll explain.

Headmate/Alters- A headmate or Alter is an identity who is apart of the system. They are a different person than the host. Do not consider them the same person as the host. They all have their own identities and personalities.

Blurry/blurring- This is the state of mind where they cannot tell who is fronting. It is confusing for them. Do not rush them or put pressure on them to remember or figure it out. Let them take their time.

Doormat- This is where an alter has not fronted or spoken to any alters in a long amount of time. They are not in headspace or anything. Just not there.

Splitting- Splitting is when an alters identity splits and they become more than one.

Integration- Be careful who you mention this to. Integration is when two alters become one. This is like death for an alter and can scare them, do not joke around about this and put warnings when talking about it.

Co-conscious- This is the state of mind when an alter is watching another alter that is fronting.

Co-fronting- this is when more than one alter is fronting.

Fronting- Fronting is when an alter controls the body.

Singlet- A singlet is a person who is not apart of a system.

Headspace- headspace is the space in a systems head. It is the place alters stay when they are not fronting.
