Chapter Two: Introductions

Ashlyn sighed as she dragged her brother down the hall.
"Um.........Are you okay Ash?" Logan asked hesitantly.
"I'm so drained." Ashlyn said, sighing.
"INCOMING!"
Ashlyn and Logan looked up and Ashlyn paled as she saw a shoe just barely miss hitting her brother square in the face, crashing and denting the wall behind him. Logan shrieked a little and stumbled on the ground.
"Ah! Sorry!" A guy said. The guy was holding a very angry boy on his shoulder, demanding to be put down. A girl who looked exactly like him recorded his demise below him.
"You should be!" Ashlyn thought to herself as she helped her brother up, glaring at the guy.
"You okay?" Ashlyn asked Logan.
"Y-Yeah...." Logan said, startled.
Ashlyn grabbed her brothers hand, dragging him to their classroom. They had the same one this year, thank god. Logan fumbled with his schedule and dropped it.
"Logan, are you sure your okay?"
"I'm fine Ashlyn. J-Just a bit nervous, that's all!" Logan said, putting on his best, 'I'm completely fine!' Face. Ashlyn frowned, but didn't push. The duo went into the classroom, finding there assigned seats. Ashlyn looked at the desk next to her, and to her despair, the name Aiden c was written on the desk next to her. She looked away, pretending not to notice.

"the teachers late," Ashlyn thought to herself. She glanced at the desk again. "i have a foreboding feeling."
"WE WOULDNT BE LATE IF YOU HELPED INSTEAD OF RECORDING!" The angry boy from earlier yelled at his (Ashlyn assumed) twin sister. "Sorry we're late!"
"Please don't mark us tardy!" The girl said.
"They aren't here yet."
"We still have a chance!"
"A chance?" A voice from behind them asked. The twins tensed. "Are two of my students already late on the first day?"
The teacher glared at the two menacingly, before bursting out laughing. "Just kidding. A class rule is if we're both late and you get here before me then your safe—uh...where's your shoe..?"
He pointed to the angry boys missing shoe. "You should find that after class."
"Yes sir."
"Go ahead and find your seat with your name on it."
Ashlyn froze when she saw the blonde from earlier and the tall boy walking into class behind the teacher. Ashlyn looked behind her at Logan, who wore the same expression as her. The blonde's face brightened after seeing the two, and Ashlyn tried to hide herself as Logan awkwardly waved.
"Please excuse my tardiness, these two are new to the school so make sure to give them a warm welcome."
"Is it too late to switch classes?" Ashlyn thought to herself as the blonde sat down, smiling at her and her brother.
"Let's start with introductions shall we?" The teacher said. "We'll go in alphabetical order. When it's your turn, state your first name and last name, and say something about yourself. For example, my name is Thomas Walter and this my first year teaching my own class. I look forward to being with you all."
Ashlyn stood up. "Are introductions really necessary? I wanna sit back down." She thought. "Ashlyn Banner. I like dogs."
Logan stood up after her to do his introduction.
"H-hello I-um l-logan-I m-mean i-i'm logan banner. Um....I enjoy astrolgy.."
"I'm aiden clark! I like bungee jumping, skydiving, jet skiiing, rock climbing, oh and--"
Ben didnt say anything for his introduction.
"im taylor hernadez! Im part of the mechanics club! Come say hi if you get the chance!"
"im tyler hernandez, yes were twins. Im on the baseball team."
Mr.Thomas smiled once introductions were over. "Now that introductions are over, lets talk about ohr semester long group project. Youll pick your groups today and then work on your project for the semester."
Ashlyn panicked. She hated group projects. "dont panic ashlyn, maybe he'll let you work alone--"
"oh and no one will be able to work alone."
"Crap." ashlyn thought, looking at aiden who loomed over her shoulder.
Crap indeed.
