"I'm so glad you two came!" Aiden said happily, putting his arms around the Banners.
"I'm sure you are..." Ashlyn thought to herself, glaring at her brother. Logan shrank in on himself a little. Sorry Ashlyn, but he wasn't about to handle Aiden alone.
"Get your own!"
"Put I left mine at home! Please Ty!"
"Looks like the whole group is here," Ashlyn thought to herself. She looked at Tyler with pity as Taylor begged him for whatever it was they were arguing over. She knew that feeling all to well.
She boarded the bus with Logan on her tail, trying to find a seat. She sat down and Logan was about to as well, but Aiden tugged on the back of his backpack and prevented him from sitting.
"Actually, Logan, can I sit next to Ashlyn this time?" Aiden asked the two.
"No-" Ashlyn started, but stopped before her dads words rang in her head. She sighed. "sure."
Logan looked skeptical sitting next to ben, but he sat next to him anyways. He watched as Aiden sat down next to ashlyn, who looked very uncomfortable.
"Alright everyone!" Mr.Thomas said, once everyone was on the bus. "I'm sure you already know, but I'll go over the schedule on more time. It takes eight hours to get to Savanah, and in about four hours we'll stop and get something to eat. Once we get to Savanah, you and your group will have two hours to eat, go on tours, look at historical monuments, explore the area, goof off, etc. after, we'll meet back up at the bus and head to the motels. Everyone who has a phone has added, mr.lee's, Mrs.Sarah's, and my contact, correct?"
"Yes."
"Alright then, let's get this show on the road!"

"Eight hours was a lot longer than I thought it'd be," Ashlyn thought as she got off the bus. She stretched and cracked her joints, causing Logan and the rest of the group to cringe. Except for Aiden. Which surprised no one.
"so um, what should we do first?" Logan asked.
"Well, its been a while since we stopped to eat, what if we go get something to eat then figure out where to go from there?" Taylor suggested.
The rest of the group agreed, and they went to find a restaurant. After wards they went on a tour, and looked at some other historic monuments. Logan took pictures the entire time, showing them off to his sister excitedly. Taylor spotted a face paint area, and very excitedly suggested that they get their faces painted.
Ashlyn looked at her face paint in her phone screen.
"this isnt as bad as i'd thought it'd be," Ashlyn thought as she looked up at her brother, who was trying to get his camera back from Taylor. The group eventually left that area.
"So, what should we do now?" Logan asked as they walked down the street.
"We'll we have to be back to the buses in 40 minutes, so maybe we should head back to them in 30 minutes?"
"Excuse me!"
The group looked behind them and saw a woman walking to them. "Would you like a tour of the sorrel weed house? A group cancelled their reservations last minute so there are some spots open. It's only 5 dollars per person,"
"Wait really?!" Taylor asked excitedly. She turned to the rest of the group. "We should totally go! That place is supposed to be super haunted!"
The rest of the group agreed, but Ashlyn was skeptical.
"Is it really ok for us to take over someone else's reservations?" She thought to herself. Something didn't feel right. She would much rather do something else. She reached for her brothers hand so they could go do something else, only to realize that he was already following thebrest of the group to the house. She sighed and reluctantly followed them.

The sorrel weed house looked way creepier in person, and Logan was getting chills. Something felt off about this place—but he couldn't put his finger on what exactly it was. He looked back at his sister. She looked shaken, like something was bothering her.
"Ash? Are you ok?" He whispered.
Ashlyn silently thanked him in her head for being quiet. "No, I hear the phantom noises again,"
Logan paused. "Again? Do you want to wait outside then?"
Ashlyn sighed. "No, I'll be fine. Though I'm surprised they haven't gone away yet."
"Hey! Do you two have something you want to share with us or are you just going to keep whispering?" Tyler yelled at the duo.
Ashlyn winced. Could he be any louder?
Logan rubbed her back. "Sorry about that Tyler. Where did the lady go?"
"Emergency phone call, so she let us explore this place ourselves!" Aiden cheered, climbing up on one of the chairs.
Logan ran over to him. "Aiden! Get down!"
Aiden laughed and grabbed Logan's camera from him. "Say cheese!"
Logan flinched when Aiden took the photo, the flash blinding him temporarily. "Aiden! Give it back!"
Logan snatched his camera back, looking back at his sister. He paused.

What the hell was that?

A pitch black creature, with the build of a human and bright white eyes stood behind her, a disturbing grin on its face. Logan paled.
"A-Ashlyn.." Logan said "..Behind you.."

The only thing that Logan could register in that moment was the flash from his camera as his finger slipped down on the button and he accidentally took a photo. Ashlyn screamed, pulling her hand away from the creature and falling on the ground.
"What was that?" Ashlyn thought to herself. She held her arm in pain.
"W-what was that?" Taylor asked, still hiding behind Tyler. Ashlyn paused. Right, the others saw it too.
"One of the ghosts maybe?" Aiden suggested, still smiling.
"Are you guys dumb?" Tyler said, crossing his arms. "Ghosts aren't real. This is obviously some sort of prank for a stupid video."
"A prank?" Aiden asked.
"Obviously. A group conveniently cancels their reservation last minute and our tour guide is called away during the tour? Yeah right, this probably a set up for some stupid reaction video or something. Well screw you and your stupid video! You don't have permission to use our reactions! C'mon tay,"
Tyler grabbed Taylor's hand and stomped off, leaving the rest of them alone. Logan went over Ashlyn.
"Ash? Are you ok?" He asked.
It took a minute for Ashlyn to register what he had said. "Huh? Oh yeah, I'm fine. C'mon, we should head back to the bus,"

Ashlyn stood up and grabbed her brothers hand, ignoring Aidens idiotic questions about the creature as they left.

No one noticed the way Ashlyn's shadow dropped with blood from her arm.
