I'm sitting behind a box, my breath short as I hear the sloshing of inhuman feet through the water of the sewer. My heart rate increases as I hear claws scratching on the walls. Finally, after what feels like an eternity, the sounds stop, leaving me with my thoughts and lantern.
I peek my head over the boxes, then, after seeing that it's gone, jump over into the shallow, green water. My heart is still beating fast, but lesser. I bring up my lantern, illuminating the sewer. A few mice scurry by across the contaminated, green water. I shutter at the thought of what could be down in the deep, unforgiving waters of this strange place's sewers. I start walking, trying to find an exit.
After a bit of searching, I finally find a wooden stairwell. Of course, my first reaction is to walk up it. But I don't always go with my first reaction. I pick up a rock and throw it up the stairs onto the 3rd step. A clawed hand slips out from between the stairs and grabs the rock, pulling it into the darkness.
"Ah hell naw!" I say to myself, turning around and walking the other way. "No way in hell am I getting killed when I'm this close to escaping this God-forsaken mansion."
I turn around, leaving behind whatever was under those stairs, when I'm greeted by a disfigured face staring at me, it's red eyes wide, it's teeth razor sharp.
I freeze. I can't move! I'm forced to watch as the creature unsheathes it's claws and impales me through the stomach.
"NO! THE KEYS WERE STUCK!" I yell at the monitor of my computer, my hair radical, my eyes bloodshot from sleep-loss. "God damn it! Screw this game. I'm going to bed." I close the window, turn off the computer, then walk upstairs to my bed.
Maybe another night.Nick's Note: Yeah, this was based on the computer horror game Amnesia, and I know you can use your controller, but I like the keyboard better. So, yeah. Until next time.
