20. I woke up to hear knocking on glass. At first, I thought it was the window until I heard it come from the mirror again.

19. The last thing I saw was my alarm clock flashing 2:07 before she pushed a knife through my chest, her other hand muffling my screams. I sat bolt right up, relieved it was only a dream, but then I saw my alarm clock blink 2:06 and I heard my closet creak open.

18. Growing up with cats, I got used to the sound of scratching at my door. Now that I live alone, it's much more unsettling.

17. In all the time I've lived alone in this house, I swear to God I've slammed shut more doors than opened them. At least it keeps me safe from them.

16. A girl heard her mom yell her name from downstairs, so she got up and started walking down. As she got to the stairs, her mother pulled her into the bathroom and told her "I heard that, too."

15. She asked me why I was breathing so heavily. I wasn't.

14. My wife woke me up last night to tell me there was an intruder in the house. She was killed by an intruder 2 years ago today.

13. I awoke to the sound of the baby monitor crackling with a voice comforting my firstborn son. As I adjusted to go on my side, my arm brushed against my wife, sleeping soundly next to me.

9. "I can't sleep," she whispered, crawling into bed with me. I woke up cold, clutching the dress she was buried in.

8. I began tucking my son to bed and he told me, "Daddy, check for monsters under my bed." I look underneath for his amusement and see him, another him, under the bed, staring back at me quivering and whispering, "Daddy, there's someone on my bed."

7. You get home, tired after a long day at work. You reach for the light switch, but you feel someone else's hand instead.

6. I can't move, breath, speak or hear and it's so dark all the time. If I knew it was this lonely in a coffin, I would've been cremated instead.

5. She went upstairs to check on her sleeping toddler. The window was open and the bed was empty.

4. Don't be scared of the monsters, just look for them. Look to your left, look to your right, look under your bed, look in your closet, look behind your dressed, but never look up because she hates being seen.

3. My daughter won't stop screaming and crying at night. I visit her grave and tell her to stop, but it's no use.

2. After a hard day at work, I came home to see my wife cradling our baby. I don't know what's scarier: seeing my dead wife and stillborn child or knowing that someone broke in and put them like that.

1. There's a picture of me sleeping on my phone. I live alone...

Enjoy your sleep tonight, everyone! I'll catch you all in the morning.
