Chapter 5

We see nothing but darkness as a darkened figure is seen walking over to a computer panel. The soft hum of an airship accompanies the clicks of a key board before a giant screen is sparked to life. Illuminating the front of the mad scientist

Doctor: I must say that I'm impressed with how quick that teenager was able to put you down. 5 minutes? Dare I say 3?

Metallix:..........

Doctor: We may have taken the loss, but we gained so much from that one encounter. Such as data for a stronger and more resilient body and a possible key for our search.

The doctor said only to hear no response back. That is, until finally seeing movement on the audio visualizer.

Metallix: Tell me.....why are you so sure that this boy can possibly be used for our search?

Metallix spoke through the screen as the audio visualizer moved along with his voice. The Doctor stood quietly before speaking up again.

Doctor: My grandfather, in his journal, wrote something about an alien able to conduct chaos energy. A human-like being with the features of a hedgehog And if I'm going by his descriptions, then that boy fits the bill.

Metallix:So is that why you designed me this way?

Doctor: A very plausible answer.

Metallix:.......When is my new body finished?

Doctor:Soon, be patient, Metallix. This new body is a rather lengthy process. More effort was put into this one than all of the other badniks combined.

The doctor states as he started to head over to the room's exit, he heard no response from Metallix. And with a swift shut of the metallic door, Metallix is left to his digital lonesome.

Metallix:......Another reason to skin that teenager alive......

We shift scenes back to our blue-haired hero, Y/n, who's currently leaning against the wall with his arms crossed as Danny finishes up putting his stuff in his locker.

Danny:You actually have a tutor now? (closes locker.) I thought you were lying about that.

Y/n: I might as well, man! My grades are looking pretty bad right now.

Danny:Dude.....it's barley the second week of school. There's no way you're flunking already.

Y/n: (shrugs) I guess my intelligence works in mysterious ways.

Danny: Or maybe just maybe hear me out......You just suck at school.

Y/n:......I like my version better.

And with that, the two started making their way down the hall. Still making small talk along the way.

Y/n:Say Danny, I always wondered, How's it feel to go ghost?

Y/n questioned as Danny fell into thought.

Danny: It's hard to explain... I feel lighter, for sure, but I can't really give you a clear answer.

Y/n:So it's one of those feelings, huh? ...... It would be pretty darn cool if I could phase through stuff too.

Danny: Hold up, you can't? I always thought you could. You know vibrate your body so fast that your molecules pass through stuff.

Y/n: Oh, trust me, man, I tried. But let's just say that by the end, Nora had to replace a whole wall that day.

Danny:(snorts)

Y/n:Hey! Whatcha laughing at the ghost boy?!

Danny: (laughing) Sorry, man! The mental image of you phased half way through a wall got to me. (snickers)
