*THUD*THUD*THUD*

Y/n: Hi-yah!

Our blue-haired hero dressed in a karate gi is seen kicking a punching bag. Each kick grows progressively faster and more aggressive, with small tears beginning to form at the points of impact.

???: If you keep going like that, I might have to put up a new one.

Upon hearing the voice of his sensei from behind, Y/n immediately stopped and clumsily turned around, wiping sweat from his brow.

Y/:n: Whoops! Sorry, I guess I got a bit carried away with it, Jack Sensei.

Jack merely nodded as he approached the punching bag, inspecting it closely, particularly the tears where Y/n's kicks had landed. Running his hand over the damaged spots, he could feel the faint warmth radiating from them.

Jack: Quick as ever, and brash as ever. But this feels different...personal. What's troubling you, Y/n?

Jack's gaze shifted to Y/n, who felt a slight heat rise to his cheeks. He quickly crossed his arms and glanced away, an awkward expression settling on his face.

Y/n: Well, it's nothing to get all worked up over. Just... a little hangout with a friend, that's all.

Jack only chuckled softly at the young man's clear embarrassment, closing his eyes and shaking his head with a small smile on his face.

Jack: It's a girl, isn't it?

Y/n:...... Yeah.

Jack: Aah, the blossoming flower of youth. Tell me, is she perhaps someone special?

Y/n: Well, she's an old friend of mine. One of the first I made when I first moved here, actually.

Jack: So, it is someone special. But if this outing is just between two friends, then tell me-why are you so nervous?

Y/n: Hmph! Someone sure is noisy today.

Y/n muttered with an annoyed look, encouraging a light laugh from his teacher.

Jack: Just checking up on my student, that's all.

Y/n: 'Sighs' Yeah, I guess you're are. Didn't mean to get snappy with you there, Sensie.

Y/n apologized, but his teacher simply shook their head in response.

Jack: There's no need to apologize, young man. If you don't wish to continue, that's okay. But I'm always here to lend an ear whenever you need it.

Y/n: Hey, thanks...

Y/n said with a small but grateful smile before taking a deep breath.

Y/n: Well... it's just that we haven't hung out in a while, and I guess I don't want anything going wrong? Ugh, I don't know! It's just these dumb nerves talking!
