As time passed, the campers finished dressing in their costumes and began filming. The first ones ready were Sydney and Landon, who ventured into the woods, each carrying one end of the cardboard cutout background. Landon, dressed from head to toe in his father's clothes, bore a striking resemblance to him. Sydney, too, resembled her mother, and she was aware of it.

"Hey, is it true your dad had a crush on Cody? I don't want to pry or anything, but if you know..." Sydney inquired, watching as Landon sighed, indicating it wasn't the first time he'd heard this question.

"I've heard the rumors, but I'm pretty sure my dad is straight. He did a lot of experimenting as a teen, but once he met my mum, he was lovestruck. Until they got a divorce," Landon admitted, realizing he had just revealed his father's personal life on live television. His father had kept his life relatively private after Total Drama and only agreed to let Landon on the show because of the cash prize he was on track to winning.

"Oh, they got a divorce? I'm sorry that happened. If you ever want to talk, I'm here."

"It's alright, really. It was for the best. It's been a few years, but I'm honestly getting used to it. My brother didn't mind as much as me, but he's gone off to college anyway."

"That must be hard. So many big changes in your life while your family was falling apart. You must've struggled a lot," Sydney sympathized, placing the set piece down and looking at Landon, who seemed on the verge of tears.

"Yeah, I guess I was," Landon admitted, stifling his tears and managing to crack a small smile through the pain. "I always say it was part of my character development," he chirped, suddenly restoring the mood.

"That's a very interesting way to look at it."

Sticking his tongue out, Tyson carefully set up the camera so that it was straight. Its previous wonkiness had bothered him during the last few takes.

"Come on, Tyson. It's not going to be perfect. Just leave it," Amelia urged impatiently, waiting for him to finish adjusting the camera.

"Got it!" Tyson rejoined Mercedes and Amelia, who were dressed head to toe in their mothers' outfits. He couldn't help but notice how stunning Mercedes looked, even more beautiful than Heather, especially as he gazed into her emerald eyes. It was as if he couldn't look away, as if he were in a trance. "No offense to your craftsmanship, Amelia, but I don't think me wearing a skirt is the most appropriate thing in the world..."

"Don't think of it as a skirt. Just think of it as a kilt. I must say you do look very good," Amelia suggested, glancing at Tyson's frowning mouth.

"Alright, 3, 2, 1, Action!" Mercedes said, and Tyson immediately pressed the record button.

"HEY! BETH," Mercedes called in an eerily uncanny voice, angrily mimicking her mother's body language.

"Aw! I totally had her," Amelia sighed, faking a lisp very professionally.

"We've been talking about you," Mercedes scowled at Amelia, who couldn't tell if she was really acting or not.

"We have?" Tyson interjected with his high-pitched voice, imitating his mother.

"Zip it! Lindsayot. We decided to give you one last chance. If you take it back, you can rejoin our alliance," Mercedes said.

"Take back what?" Amelia asked.

"The N word. No!" Mercedes screeched like her mother.

"Uh, why should I?" Amelia asked, placing a hand on her hip as if she were genuinely angry.

"Uh, the line is actually 'I don't wanna take it back'..." Tyson interrupted the scene, leaving them both in disbelief.

"Oh my god, it DOESN'T MATTER. YOU JUST RUINED EVERYTHING. IT WAS GOING SO WELL." With that, Amelia threw her paintball gun down, accidentally triggering it to shoot at Tyson. Seeing red, Tyson began to shoot at Amelia but accidentally hit Mercedes. Mercedes retaliated by hitting them both with the paintballs, turning it into a paintball fiasco.
