A Kingdom Fallen Under

Chapter 6

"Lily!?" Eda exclaimed.
"Let go of me!" Lilith said, struggling to get out of Darius's grip.
"Darius, let her go" raine demanded.
When Darius let her go she fell to the ground.
"Hi Edalyn" she said, glaring at raine.
"I...I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD!" Eda screamed.
Lilith looked around the room.
"Who threw up?" She asked.
"That would've been your sister." Darius said.
As if on cue, eda threw up. Again.
"Eda are you okay!?" Lilith said.
Raine held her close and eda leant into their touch. She felt so many different emotions at that moment. She wanted to cry, scream, hug her sister, throttle her etc. Eda caught Lilith glaring at where Raine's skin touched hers.
"Lily..." She said.
"Why the fuck are they touching you!? They don't have any right to!" Lilith shouted.
"Lily, I'm marrying raine.. They can touch me!" Eda said. "Not a word gay boy!"
Darius shut his mouth and looked down at Lilith.
"They kidnapped us! Then threatened to kill us! How can you marry them of all things!?" Lilith growled.
"That's none of your business! And you don't know them the way I do!" Eda shouted.
"Look at what they've done to our kingdom! They're heartless!-"
"They are literally anything but heartless, Lilith" eda said, her voice deadly calm.
"What makes you say that!?" She asked
"If you see what I see, you'd notice that instead of that princess they married, they treat their servants and subjects with respect. They let the servants wear what they want- they actually pay them! And they have a little sister, she's absolutely adorable! Raine's so fucking protective of her!" She said.
"I am not protective!" Raine exclaimed.
Eda laughed. "You said that she can't date until you're too old to make threats and make good on them"
"...okay fine I may be a little protective of her- but can you blame me? She's my bitchy little sister!" Raine argued.
Eda rolled her eyes playfully.
"What do we do with my sister?" She asked, changing the subject to more serious matters.
"That's up to you, she is your sister"  raine said.
"Edalyn, you wouldn't do anything rash...right?" Lilith asked nervously.
Eda looked down at her sister. Her sisters eyes pleaded silently.
"You faked your own death. Then randomly left- wait...you were down here. Do you have any idea what happened to Maria?" Eda asked suddenly.
"I'll tell you if you tell me why you keep throwing up." Lilith bargained
"Its the smell-" eda started.
"No it isn't, it may be part of the reason but you've smelled way worse and haven't thrown up. Tell me what's going on- its not like you're pregnant!" Lilith sighed.
Eda sighed and both raine and Darius froze in place.
"What would you know!? You're aroace!" Eda said loudly.
"I know my little sister! Eda just tell me! Are. You. Pregnant!?" Lilith sighed, sounding aggravated.
"I don't know okay!" Eda shouted. "Either way, what even makes you think such a thing!?"
"The fact you're throwing up, the fact that I can tell that the dickhead that's holding you has fucked you- otherwise you wouldn't let them touch you like that- the fact that instead of doing something rash, like what you usually do, you're actually asking questions- not trying to get yourself killed! Shall I go on?" Lilith answered.
"Eda-" raine started.
She held up her hand for silence. All that Lilith said was true. But she couldn't be pregnant. Right?
"Is there a place in the palace we can keep her in?" Eda asked.
"There always is" raine said.
"Put her in one of those rooms and have guards question her about Maria, she obviously knows something if she keeps changing the subject. I need to do something" she said then left that prison. She went looking for Charlotte. She needed to know if Lilith was right. Eventually eda found her in the room behind the kitchen.
"Charlotte!" She said.
"Yes sweetie?" She said smiling at eda.
"I was wondering if you knew if there was any... Pregnancy tests around here?" She said, mumbling the last bit.
"Pregnancy test?" Charlotte questioned. "Why would you need such a thing?"
"I think I may be pregnant" eda quickly mumbled out.
The woman smiled happily. "Oh that's wonderful! I'll think we have one- just wait here, I'll go get it!"
"Okay..." Eda mumbled.
Charlotte left to go get the test. Eda mindlessly wandered the room, looking at the tapestries. There was four different types. Just then Charlotte came back.
"Here you go sweetie" she smiled, placing the test into Edas hands.
"Thanks.." Eda mumbled.
She then left for her bathroom. (Idk how pregnancy tests works so...)
After getting the results:
"Oh fuck!" She shouted. "Lily really was right..."
Just then there was a knock on her bedroom door.
"Can I come in princess?" Raine's voice asked.
Eda sighed shakily and gripped the pregnancy test. "Yeah...I have some news for you anyway..." She mumbled.
Raine walked in and noticed the test in her hands.
"Eda?"
Eda shoved the test into their hands and looked away. Raine looked down and saw it was positive. Their jaw dropped. If she wasn't the one this was happening to shed probably laugh at their expression.
"Your sister was right...? You are actually pregnant?" The mumbled.
Eda nodded. "That's what it says. I'm going to be a mum..."
"And I'm gonna be whatever you call a non binary parent..."
"Would nini fit?" Eda asked sheepishly
Raine looked at her with a bank expression.
"It means parent" she said.
"Right.." Raine said, still looking like they didn't understand.
"Are you mad?" She mumbled.
"Mad? How can I be mad!? Its not like you did it by yourself!" Raine said.
She smiled softly. "I wonder what my sister will say when she finds out..."
Before either of them could say anything more, they heard someone scream.
Then they heard Edas sister.
"LET ME GO YOU BITCH, I DIDN'T KILL THE GIRL!"
