Hey hey! This is also on my ao3! So I did not steal it ^^
____________________________________Leonardo, the cocky blue-masked slider found himself trapped in the Prison Dimension for longer than just a few minutes. Time in this dimension flowed differently, stretching out agonizingly with each passing moment. And each passing moment he could hear Kraang Prime, he could hear him screaming in frustration. Screaming at the fact Leo had gotten away. At first, Leo held onto hope, fueled by his unwavering determination to escape and reunite with his brothers. But as days turned into weeks and weeks into months, his spirit began to wane. The isolation and the relentless darkness weighed heavily on his heart, gnawing away at his sanity. Only food he had was the very small amount of vegetation and whatever food the Kraang had on the rest of they're now broken ship. He didn't dare ask what It was. Not like he had anyone he could have spoken to after all.
With no one to guide him, Leo relied on his instincts, honed through years of training. He adapted to the harsh environment, sharpening his senses and developing an animalistic edge. Survival became his primal instinct as he navigated the twisted corridors and avoided the malevolent creature lurking within, that alien still hasn't given up. He was found a few times for sure, tossed around like a ragdoll. Yanked up in his sleep that he rarely ever gets and tossed, punched and kicked. Anything to cause the slider harm. As time wore on, Leo's transformation became apparent. His once vibrant like green scales dulled, matching the shadows that enveloped him. His eyes, once filled with joy and determination, now glowed with an eerie ferocity. The sharpness of his senses grew to an uncanny level, allowing him to detect the faintest sounds and movements in the darkness. He was able to hide better. Survive better.
Months turned into Years, and Leo's connection to his brothers and the world he once knew faded. The line between reason and feral instincts blurred, and he embraced the primal nature that consumed him. His movements became more fluid, his strikes more savage, as he prowled the floating rocks of the Prison Dimension like a relentless predator. However, due to lack of..well anything Leo's body grew frail, unable to sustain itself any longer. His once-sharp eyes dulled, his movements grew sluggish, and his thoughts became clouded. With his final breath, Leo succumbed to the merciless grip of starvation, laying down as he curled up holding that picture close to his plastron. That one thing that kept that small spark of hope inside. Leo was forever lost in the depths of the Prison Dimension.
A golden portal showed up and swallowed Leo's body whole.
As Leo's lifeless body dropped into the lair, a chilling silence engulfed the room. The air grew heavy with an overwhelming sense of loss, and the once vibrant space now felt desolate and empty. Donnie, Raph, Mikey, and Splinter stood frozen, their hearts shattered by the devastating reality before them.
Donnie, usually the voice of reason, collapsed to his knees, his hands trembling uncontrollably. Tears streamed down his face as he whispered Leo's name, unable to comprehend that his brother, his twin, was gone forever. How..how could that be it's only been two days! Was the time difference that drastic!?
Raph crumbled under the weight of despair. She sank to the ground, his spirit broken, as grief consumed him. The loss of Leo, One of her baby brothers left a void that could never be filled as she sobbed, staring at Leo, his baby brother. Dead.
Mikey, the eternal optimist, stood motionless, his eyes vacant and hollow. The laughter that once echoed through the lair had been replaced by a haunting silence. Leo's absence pierced his soul, extinguishing the spark of joy that had defined him. His hands shook as he stood there, his hands burned as they bled again from opening that portal over. And over. And over..only to see..Leo..not there. Not..not alive. Seeing him laying there motionless on the ground.
The lair, once a sanctuary filled with camaraderie and love, now echoed with the sound of anguished cries. Each turtle mourned in their own way, grappling with the harsh reality of a world without Leo's one liners, annoying laughter that they all loved.
They failed their brother.
They were too late.
Funny how time works isn't it?
