I tap in the numbers to my algebra question confused as hell again because what the fuck am I doing wrong I punch in the numbers again groaning.
"Yo what the fuck am I doing wrong," I say to myself I'm so into this bullshit math a hand closing my laptop has me looking up and see my boss Gina I smile she looks at my homework and then back to me
"You alright?" She ask me I smile I loved my boss she had hired me two years ago when I had just gotten my associates degree and needed a job fast when I scored an assistant job to a law firm
"I'm great. I'm sorry I was just tryna finish up my homework. I scheduled your meetings for tomorrow and have the team coming in at 9am for the debrief" she shakes her head
"Why are you apologizing Astraea I support you going to school and working it's one of the reasons why I hired you. Look my meeting with my client is in 10 can I speak with you?" I nod I stand we go to her office I sit she goes behind her desk taking a seat also "look you've sat in on my meetings with clients before but this one is a little different"
"Not for a divorce or custody?" I ask intrigued leaning up Gina laughs
"Trust me Astraea I don't bore myself with anything except marital affairs" I nod Gina was the top divorcé attorney in Atlanta and I was lucky to be where I was I was learning everything I needed to know including how to study for my bar exam I was in pre law school and was hoping to go to law school and become a Criminal Defense Attorney "my client is in a higher tax bracket " I raise a brow she hands me the case folder I open it reading it basic divorce papers I read over the details then see the names my eyes widen I look up at Gina
"Gina! This is huge!" I yell she glares at me I wince "sorry I'm yelling" she chuckles shaking her head
"It's very big and would put us on the map for celebrity divorces but the reason he's down here is because this is a secret arrangement. She's agreed to the divorce and they want it to happen quickly and quietly" I nod fast "will you be able to help me with this case? Without freaking out " I nod
"Trust me Gina I am not 12 anymore back then my little self would be foaming at the mouth but I'm professional you didn't hire me for no reason " she stands smiling at me
"Great it'll be just him. He'll be here till we go to court hearing" I nod I hear the doorbell to the building meaning someone is here I look at Gina she nods I go up to the front I click the entry button hearing the door unlock I gather my things to move into Gina's office when I look up I come face to face with him I smile politely

Welcome to Imber Law" I hold out my hand he looks confused but shakes my hand damn his hand is soft as hell "I'm Astraea Ms. Imber's assistant" I drop my hand to my side "you can follow me to her office" he nods I turn and walk him to her office. I'd be lying if I said I didn't think this man is still fine as hell I was a sucker for Bizzle back in the day but I'd be damned if I lost my job over a childhood crush. When I step into Gina's office she smiles and walks over to him I watch him look over the office he didn't seem to fond to be here but then again most of our clients seemed this way unless they had other plans lined up
