Clarissa and Leonora wander, side by side, towards a small library. Leonora pushes the door open, letting the other woman enter. Clarissa grabs at Leonora's hand as she passes, leading her inside. A small smile tugs at Leonora's lips.

"Excuse me?" Clarissa asks, her voice soft as she gathers the attention of a young woman at the counter. The girl looks to the couple, her cheeks rosy as she smiles. "How can I help you?" she questions, leaning forward. "Hi, we were wondering if there was a section for classics." Clarissa explains. Leonora looks at Clarissa, then back to the young girl. The girl nods, grinning. "We do. Follow me."

She leads the couple to a small corner of the building. "Here we are. Is there anything else I can help you with?" she asks. Clarissa looks to Leonora who shakes her head. "No, thank you, honey." Clarissa replies. The young girl nods, and leaves the couple alone.

The gently let go of each others hands and start studying the shelves. A specific novel catches Leonora's eyes, and she reaches for it. As she pulls it from the shelf, small giggles from her wife catch her attention. She turns. "What are you laughing at?" Leonora questions, slightly confused. "Emma!" Clarissa exclaims. Leonora looks around, lost. "Love, Emma isn't here." she tells, her voice quiet. Clarissa looks back to her. "No, honey, this book is called Emma." she explains.

Leonora walks towards her, curious. "What's it about?" she questions. Clarissa flips it over, studying the back cover. "It's a romance where-" she starts. Leonora groans. "Actually, never-mind." she tells. Clarissa gapes at her. "You don't like romances?" she inquires. Leonora shakes her head. "Okay, uh, well, what book have you got there?"

Leonora reads the front cover then turns it over. "It's called Carmilla." she answers. Intrigued, Clarissa shifts towards her wife. "What's it about?" she questions. "It's a lesbian vampire Gothic horror-" she tries. Clarissa clears her throat, and Leonora stops speaking. "Mm, sounds like a romance to me." she whispers. "Yeah? Well, it's not. Like I said, it's a Gothic horror." Leonora argues. "With romantic aspects." Clarissa adds, walking away with the Jane Austen classic still in her grasp.

Leonora watches her walk before following after her. "Alright, what have we got there?" the young girl asks, rhetorically, as the couple place their books on the counter. "Emma by Jane Austen and Carmilla by Sheridan Le Fanu. Perfect." she answers herself. As she stamps the inside of the books, Leonora places two coins on the counter. Clarissa slides them towards the girl as the girl slides the books back towards the couple.

"You have a two week time until the books must be back. If you wish for a renewal, you're more than welcome to return." she girl explains. Clarissa smiles and Leonora nods. "Thank you." they both say in sync. The girl grabs the coins from the counter with a grin. Clarissa and Leonora exit the store. "I can't believe you don't like romance." Clarissa teases. Her wife glares at her, before breaking into a slight smile.
