Leonora crouches, studying her flowers closely. The feeling of a presence nearby redirects her attention to her surroundings. She glances around, noticing nothing out of the ordinary. She makes an attempt at averting her attention back to her flowers, but she can't shake the feeling of being watched.
As she reaches for a specific Rose, she hears the sound of light footsteps to her right. "They're beautiful." a familiar voice speaks. She glances to the side, her eyes trailing up the slim frame next to her. "Clarissa." Leonora exclaims, standing upright. Clarissa watches Leonora rise. "I didn't realize your vocabulary extended to the point of referring to things as beautiful." Leonora jokes. Clarissa tilts her head to the side slightly. "Whatever do you mean? I call you beautiful every day." she tells Leonora. Leonora's mouth opens to speak, but she closes it and shakes her head. "Nevermind."
Leonora looks back to her Roses. "Please, don't let me distract you." Clarissa says. Leonora hesitates before crouching down again. "What are you doing out here in the Ever garden?" Leonora questions. "You ask that like I'm not allowed to be here." Clarissa tells. Leonora shakes her head slightly. "Of course you're allowed to be here. I'm just curious, that's all." Leonora explains. "Well then. I came out here to see you." Clarissa answers. Leonora stops, then looks up at Clarissa. "You hate the Ever garden." Leonora tells her. "I don't hate the Ever garden, but I'd much rather be anywhere else." Clarissa corrects.
Leonora studies a few more Roses. "Ow." she whispers, standing suddenly. Clarissa's eyes dart to Leonora's hand. A small dot of red blood starts pooling on her finger. "Are you okay?" Clarissa asks the Ever. Leonora nods, her nose scrunched slightly. "Here." Clarissa says quietly. She gently takes Leonora's hand. Leonora looks at Clarissa's face before looking back to her hand. Clarissa waves her hand over Leonora's. The pair watch as the blood fades.
Leonora pulls her hand away, rubbing her fingers together. She smiles slightly. "Thank you." she tells the Never. Clarissa nods. "You're welcome."
Instead of crouching in front of her Roses once again, Leonora stays standing. The pair hear laughing in the distance which causes Leonora to look behind her. Clarissa's eyes are instantly drawn to Leonora's hair. Leonora turns back, facing Clarissa again. "Your hair is beautiful today." Clarissa tells. Leonora blushes slightly. "You've referred to something as beautiful twice in ten minutes. That has to be a new record." Leonora says, a slight chuckle in her tone. Clarissa doesn't reply, but a small smile tugs at her lips.
"Is there a reason you came looking for me?" Leonora asks, tilting her head to the side. Clarissa shakes her head. "I just wanted to get out of the castle and figured I'd come see you." Clarissa answers. Leonora smiles, straightening her posture. "Well, shall we walk?" Leonora proposes. "If you would like, of course." Clarissa replies. Leonora nods, turning on her heels. The pair walk, Clarissa's hands linked behind her back and Leonora's linked in front of her.
