Nothing made sense anymore. She had way too many problems. A stalker. Possible harming from her classmates. The whole case with Keith. Gabrielle sat in the library. Thinking over the situation she found herself in.
There had been no progress ever since that one dream she had about how the party happened. Everything felt helpless. She had to clear her name somehow. Kaito had been somehow helpful covering up for her while she spent her time trying to find answers somehow.
She was really glad to have a friend like him. Especially at a time like this. It was comforting to know that at least one person was willing to treat her humanly despite the accusations.
Now most students hate school. Would rather be caught dead that be in school past school hours. Gabrielle found herself faced up against the large wall of Richmond Academy. Ready to break in.
She had a feeling she'd find whatever she was looking for here. The school can't be rumoured with cults and then a whole cannibalism case just falls on her. Something wasn't adding up.
Question was how and where was she going to start. She moved in the quiet dark halls. The school seemed to get creepier at night. The silence was soo eerie. Everything was still. She tightened her grip on her sleeve venturing further into the school.
She was passing by the library. And there it was. The smell of blood. She forced herself to open the door. Taking a small peak in. There was a few figures moving in the dark. A quiet chant happening.
Gabrielle was unsure on whether to go in. After finding a bit of courage, she walked in. Hiding behind the shelves. Wanting to get closer. The chanting only grew louder. She couldn't make out what it meant.
She needed to get closer. It was a group of six people. Gabrielle couldn't make out the faces because of the masks. A small rusty looking chalice was being passed around. Each member took a sip.
It was then when one stood up. They seemed to be the one incharge. The build looked male. His mask was golden with little red horns sticking out of it. He whispered a chant placing his hand on the head of another who knelt still before him.
"Take our sacrifice and bring us prosperity"
Wait...sacrifice? Gabrielle took a closer look at the person kneeling. She noticed he was kneeling on something. When the candles were lit. It was all clear. He wasn't kneeling. He was proped up by a stand. He had blood running from his eyes and mouth.
This guy was dead. She covered her mouth with a small gasp. Just then she felt a chill run down her spine. She was about to turn when she heard a swishing sound. Her tilt was met by a metal baseball bat to her head. Swung hard.
It all went black as her body fell to the floor.
