Prologue

Characters for this Chapter: X, J.

 X: "Alright... That should be all for her." X said to himself while staring at the tube that J was in. He then pressed a button on the tube, and J was released from the tube.

X:"Hey little one! How are you?"

J didn't respond to X and just sniffed the floor it was laying on. She couldn't stand yet, because she didn't know how to do so.

X:"Oh right, you can't talk. It seems like you don't know how to walk either."

J stopped sniffing the floor and paid attention to her limbs, still ignorant of the figure that was standing before her and the fact that she was created in the first place. She looked at them for a few moments, before realizing those were part of her body, and then moved them a little. Finally, she noticed X right in front of her and got a little spooked.

X:"Oh! I didn't think you would be scared of me. Looks like you actually know how to behave instinctually."

He raised his hand above J's head to try to pet her, but she just hissed at him. She didn't know how she did that, and hissed again. In the process she unintentionally puffed up her quills to look bigger than she actually was. J didn't know that X was her creator. No... She didn't know what to even do in this situation. She had two options: not to let X touch her, or to let him touch her. J spent too much time thinking about this, because she didn't notice X's hand coming closer to her. As soon as X's hand was right in front of her nose, she snapped out and hissed a little bit. She then realized that he wasn't a threat to her, puffed down her quills, and started sniffing his hand viciously.

X:"Uhh... I'll let you finish I guess... After all, I don't want for you to see me as a threat to you."

X slowly pulled out his other hand out for J to sniff too, and she did. He then moved his arms closer to J's sides. She was confused by all of this, but let him do it since... What else could she do in this situation? X started slowly pushing his hands, palm-side-up, under her belly. J didn't hiss at all this time, and X kept pushing until his hands met each-other. He then started to lift her up pretty slowly, so that she wouldn't be scared and hiss at him. X held J up in the air lightly, and lowered her down on all four of her legs. J finally stood on all fours and X let her go. J was quite confused about this all looked around the room nervously.

X:"You look quite new to this, don't you?"

Although she didn't know what he said, she nodded her head slowly.

X:"Look. I have an mission for you. And its not going to be very easy, but as you are pretty new to this world, I don't think they will bat an eye towards you when the emeralds go missing."

J was paying attention to what he was saying, just in case it was important. X then showed J a chaos emerald that he found and put it on the floor for her to sniff. J sniffed the emerald, leaving no spot un-sniffed, before she grabbed the emerald in her mouth and started swallowing it. It took her a while, but eventually, she got it down pretty quickly and felt more powerful by doing so.

X:"Like that?"

J nodded very quickly, informing him that she was ready to start.

X:"You ready to start?"

J nodded again.

X:"Well, I must say that I need to take you somewhere else for you to start, and... You also need to hunt down a... Couple Mobians... Is that alright for you?"

She thought for a couple seconds, but still nodded. X picked her up, hopped onto his plane, and flew over to the Angel island (image below).

He landed the plane next to one of the more spacious caves, picked her up, and started carrying her into the cave, while making sure no-one would see them. J was looking around the cave and was obviously interested in all of this. Her eyes adjusted to the new lighting as they went deeper, and deeper. Eventually, they made it to one of the less-explored parts of the cave, and X set her down.

X:"Now you can start exploring this place, if one of the miners find you, make sure they are alone, then bite through the neck and kill them. After that, drag them away to where I set you down, got it?"

J nodded again.

X:"I'll be going on my way now. When you got the most energy that you can get, get back to the building. I'll be waiting for you."

J was already sniffing the cave floors, walls and basically exploring the place, trying to get used to this new environment. This was her new home. It was dark, humid, and she was all alone for the time being. Now she was in charge of this new lifestyle and was enlightened by this. One of the miners was exploring the part that X had put J in, and they both noticed each-other. They maintained eye-contact for a few moments, before J slowly started approaching the miner. J was moving pretty slow at first, but about halfway to the miner, J unexpectedly pounced at the miner. The miner tried to run away, but since J is just a clone of Sonic... Let's be real here, I don't think the miner can get away so easily like that. J pounced onto the miner's leg and started clawing at it. The poor miner fell down and screamed in pain, but was quickly cut off because J had pierced his neck and therefore, had killed him. J then dragged the miner away back to where X had put her and started eating him. Some other miners had heard the screaming and rushed to where the screaming was, only to find a, quote end quote, 'Sonic' casually devouring the corpse of the miner. They then ran off to seek help. J saw this all and ran off to deeper parts of the cave. The miners came back, but with more Mobians, and they only saw the half eaten corpse that was the miner. They then carried the body away for disposal, while some of the miners stayed for guard.

That, was not a good idea. In fact. J was just coming back to slaughter the rest of the miners. While they were discussing what they were going to do now, J snuck up behind them, and then attacked. Because of the chaos emerald that J swallowed back where she was created, she could take them on. It didn't look that it was an even battle. After all, it was a six-on-one battle. But even then, the chaos emeralds yield massive power, so actually, J was more prone to winning more than them. She was quick, and agile. The miners didn't even stand a chance against her! J quickly tore them apart before they even made a peep.
