3 Months Later

It has been 3 months since X had introduced J to the caves. The miners have abandoned the caves around a month ago, influencers have stopped coming here a few weeks ago and barely anything even lives here anymore. Only an occasional rat or cockroach wandering about once in a while. This very day was special. Her mission would finally start 3 months after X had sent her to the caves. J was sleeping at the time, when a cockroach scurried by her sleeping spot. She heard it, and jumped right up. The cockroach stopped right in its tracks for a few seconds, before slowly scurrying off into the darkness. J slowly followed it while it's guard was down, and when she was close enough to it, J pounced onto it. The roach tried to run away, but it was too slow. Her teeth dug into the roaches' exoskeleton, and then into it's flesh. It struggled for a little bit, before it's movement slowed down until it eventually died. J kept biting it, and when it died, she immediately started to devour it. It was devoured in a few seconds, due to said food being scarce. Since J was awake now, she went to go find some more food. While J was searching for more food, Sonic and Tails were flying to Angel island to see why the miners abandoned the cave.

Sonic: "Well, this is the place. Hope its not too scary."

Tails: "Let's hope that nothing TOO bad is in there."

Sonic: "You bet!"

Before Tails could say anything, Sonic sped off into the cave.

Tails: "SONIC! YOU PROMISED!"

Tails' words echoed through the cave, but to no avail. Sonic didn't hear him. After a few moments, Sonic came speeding out of the cave.

Tails: "Why did you speed off again, Sonic?"

Sonic: "Oh, I thought that this would be pretty easy! That's all."

Tails: "You swore that you wouldn't do that again... And yet you still did it again."

Sonic: "You know I can't keep promises, right?"

Tails: "You're way too impatient."

Tails started spinning his namesakes, and then lifted off of the ground. Sonic then quickly caught onto Tails' legs and they both flew into the cave. The cave was pretty spacious, since it was once part of a mine. Sonic tossed a flashlight into Tails' arm.

Tails: "I didn't ask for you to bring that, but alright."

Sonic: "Don't thank me!"

Sonic said as they both disappeared into the darkness. It was quite foggy since no-one has been here for like... A few weeks ago? The light wasn't very bright... If you know what I mean by that of course. They then landed on the cave floor, Sonic pulled out another flashlight and turned it on.

Tails: "It's so dark here... No wonder the miners abandoned this cave..."

Sonic: "I wonder what creature has been lurking in the dark... It must be pretty dangerous if all the miners fled from here."

They went deeper into the darkness, before Tails spotted a small shadow.

NOTE FROM CREATOR: This chapter is pretty short to me. I was in a little rush, but I guarantee the next one will be longer. I wanted to make the big reveal of J to the next chapter so... Too bad you have to wait :)!
