One Month Later

" Dom, how are you feeling? You've been quiet lately." My hand was placed over her belly. Feeling my girl's kick. Both started early this morning. Around 5 a.m., I reached over and held Dom close to me and I felt their kicks. Shit I was up with them too, talking to my babies. Dom didn't wake up at all surprisingly.

" I'm ok,"

" You sure?" I asked.

" Mmhm, trust if I wasn't ok, you'd be the first to know." She turned her head and kissed my cheek.

" Got you! Are you ready to get up? Omari is up, your mom fixed him something to eat." Ms Sheila and my Dad were back here in Houston. I was surprised when I picked up Ms. Sheila and Pooter from the Airport, that Delroy was walking behind them.

" Yes."

" Well come on." I kissed her belly before getting up. Shit, Dom's back has been hurting and so has mine. I'm having pregnancy pains with her." Damn. You have my back hurting too."

" Blame your daughters." She smiled as I helped her get up.

" Nah, I can't blame my babies."

I waited for Dom while she showered. I was going to help her but she wanted to do it herself. I sat back and thought about life right now. Everything was going how it should. Dom and I are happy, Omari is good, and the babies are good and due any day now. I'm truly happy right now.

" Aub!! I need help." I got up and walked into the bathroom. I saw how pitiful she looked and laughed some. " Don't laugh, Aubrey." I got in and washed her off.

" There! All clean, mama." I wrapped a towel around her before wrapping one around my waist. " Thank you." Dom pouts before I kiss her lips. I brought her closer to me.

" I'm so fat, you can't even bring me in closer."

" Baby, don't start that shit. I love all of this!" I let her go and helped her get dressed.

" Mommy!! Grandma made you some breakfast!" Omari came running into our room" Ok Baby, are you going to walk with me?" He nodded, grabbed her hand, and led her out.

A Few Hours Later

" Throw me the ball, Uncle Mike." Omari ran out as Michael threw the football at him. Delroy, Mike, Omari and I were down at the park. I've been trying to get Mari out of the house as much as possible because I know when the twins get here there's going to be a lot going on.

" So what's up with you and your lady?" I asked Mike.

" Look, let me just say thank you for picking Houston."  He laughed.

" This nigga, in love now." Mike threw the ball back to Omari. " Hold up, nah! I mean.... I'm not in love yet but I could definitely see it happening, you feel me." He caught the ball that Omari threw back.
