After waking from what you could basically call a nap, I feel a little refreshed. I start to get myself together and grab for my phone. I dial her number and on the second ring she picks up delightful as ever. "Hey! how did you sleep?!" Not very well. "It was good, I feel a little better." "I am so excited for today! Are you sure you're okay with taking me around again?" Of course I am, I am absolutely thrilled. "Yeah, it's really not a big deal, I'll be heading your way in about five minutes." We exchange goodbyes and I make sure to spray just a little extra cologne this morning. Skipping down the front steps, she jumps into my arms in excitement. I am a little put off but gladly oblige to the gesture. "So where to?!" "Follow me, you know you won't be disappointed seeing as both times I have taken you somewhere with out knowledge you've seemed to enjoyed yourself quite a bit." I wink. We hop back onto to the R train and head straight to our destination. Brighton Beach. It is the most beautiful mid-July day, hot enough to swim, but not overbearing where you feel as if you are suffocating. After a few minutes of pleading, she jumps out of her clothes and straight into the water, I follow close behind. After a half hour of definite flirting, the rest of the group shows up and joins us. Nolan decides it's a good idea to make the girls into toys and start throwing them across the water. Everly is the second to go under, and I quickly come to her rescue. "Thanks, I tried to swim away, but I clearly am no olympian over here." I smile. "I got you now, they won't do it again." I shoot a smug look toward Nolan and I'm thinking he gets the point.

We spend the rest of the morning and mid-afternoon this way. Jameson decides to buy everyone lunch and we don't argue back. Everyone seems to be pretty exhausted from the swim, and we part ways around 2PM. "Can we go do something, inside maybe?" I think the heat and marathon walking is finally catching up to her. "Yeah, I know just the place, change first?" We agree and head back up toward Park Slope. After we get more comfortable I meet her at the front steps again and we head to our next adventure. When we stop in front of the Natural History Museum I'm a little nervous that she might not enjoy this as much as our other destinations. Surely enough, I am wronged and she hugs me once again in excitement. "You are truly not what I expected when I first saw you." Is that a good thing? "What do you mean?" "The way you dress, and the first impression you give off, you seem kind of cocky and not very approachable." She half smiles. Am I really that intimidating? I've heard it before, but I never really cared what anyone thought about me until now, until her. I wear pretty tight black jeans, vans, plain v-necks, usually with a flannel over top, and my hair pushed just enough off of my face to see before it falls forward again. I always liked the way I looked, and it never seemed to bother anyone else I hung around with, since they basically all looked the same way anyway. Nolan had the typical hipster hair cut, faded. Jameson had a scruffy face and almost the same hair style as Nolan but a little longer on the top. Trenton basically wore what they call "a man bun" everyday of his life, so I wasn't exactly sure what his hair even looked like down. "Well I hope I am making a good impression on you now, seeing as this is truly how I am." She smiles at me and grabs my arm. We walk from exhibit to exhibit and I tell her a little of what I know about each. By time we make it to end I can hear her stomach rumbling and I laugh and offer her dinner. "Oh man, I'm sorry, that's embarrassing, haha, what is good around here?" What isn't? I feel like asking. "Well, what type of food do you like?" We quickly agree on Mexican, and I take her to one of my favorite places in the area. I order for her again, and she jokingly acts annoyed at this, but I know she likes it. "So when do you have to go back home?" She sighs, and looks down. "Tomorrow afternoon." I feel the heaviest weight on my chest, and I have no idea how or why. "Oh...man that really sucks." It really does suck. " I will be back soon though..." A glimmer of hope shines through my eyes and I know she catches on when we make unbreakable eye contact.

"I am coming back in three weeks. And I am staying for a bit longer than this time." Now my heart is really pumping. "How long will that be?" "Around a month, maybe longer." I can't help that smile that breaks through as the words slowly pour out of her mouth. "Don't get any ideas now, who says I even want to see you again." She smirks at me. I can already tell she will be calling me the second she returns to town. "Fine, have it that way, but don't come looking for me when you're bored out of your mind and looking for adventure." She acts upset, and I take the chance to push my arm across the table and lift her chin slowly. I know that this won't be the last time I see that beautiful face, eyes burning into my soul.
