Day and Night (take 2) Douxie x Oc

The earth Titan

     When we stepped out of the portal, I felt the dense forest floor shake as the earth titan walked by. I have to admit, it was bigger then I expected.

"Oh, Stardust" I said as my jaw dropped.

"Hop on!" AAARRGGG told everyone.

Douxie hopped on his back as I transformed into my Lightfury form and we started chasing after her and the titan.

"keep on with it's shadow!" Nimora told AAARRGGG as they avoided the sunlight.

She grabbed a vine and used her blades to climb the titan's body.

"There! There! Take me there!" Douxie guided AAARRGGG, pointing at the top of the titan.

To my surprise, AAARRGGG grabbed him and tossed him up.

"Oh, Fuzzbuckets!" He yelled as he started to fall.

I quickly flew down and caught him with my front legs.

"Thanks, Avy!" He told me as I looked down at him, cooeing.

I carefully tossed him to Nimora and she helped him climb up the titan the rest of the way. I flew up to the top and landed, turning into my human form. I slowly crept across the grassy ground beneath me towards Nari. I stopped in my tracks when I saw Douxie get thrown off by a Vine.

"Doux!" I yelled, instantly regretting it afterwards as I quickly covered my mouth.

But luckily for me Nari didn't seem to notice as I saw Douxie use his staff to cast a spell that wrapped the titan's legs. Nimora took this opportunity to run ahead of me and slice the vines.

"Nimora! Stop!" I told her, running after her.

But it was too late. Nari saw her and trapped her in her vines. I tried to run forward to free her when I felt vines wrapping around my waist and legs. I strained against them.

"Nari! Stop!" I yelled, trying to get though to her before she sent Nimora into the sunlight.

"NIMORA!!!"

And with a swift moment of the vines, Nimora's rock form shattered.

The titan started to move again as she tossed me off. I didn't bother to transform. How could I? I just watched one of my teachers be killed by someone I consider my little sister. Halfway to the ground, I felt huge, stone arms gently catch me and crashed into the ground. AAARRGGG looked at me before seeing I was okay. He let me go as I fell to my knees from the sudden dizziness.

"Avy!" AAARRGGG said as Douxie checked on me.

I didn't say anything. Just watched as Nari left. I did it again. I didn't help. And a person who I cared about gotten killed. I felt tears forming in my eyes but none fell.

"Come on. We have to regroup with the others" Douxie said before he opened a portal back to Arcadia.

AAARRGGG went first and Douxie was about to go when he looked back at me. I didn't move. I was almost frozen. Except for the fact that my body quivered. I was too wrapped up in my thoughts to notice that the boys were leaving until Douxie planted his hand on my shoulder. I looked up at him but didn't bother to move. He only gave me a warm smile before he gently picked me up and put me on his back, giving me a piggyback ride through the portal.

"We'll find a way to help her, Avyanna. I promise" he told me as I nuzzled my face into the crook of his neck.

I smiled, my face slightly blushed as I enjoyed his warmth. He must've noticed how cold I felt. But I didn't really mind that right now. All I really care about right now was being with Douxie in this small moment. If only I could tell him how I felt.
