Ch 9 Family Meddling

A/N Note: I'm going to try to finish this story even though it'll be shortened. As it's been too long I'm not sure if I can write the characters as I once did, or even if I can write like I once did. Anyways, updates will be on the slower side.

Waiting for Y/N to finish getting ready Summer saw this as the perfect chance to ask all kinds of questions. Tai and Ruby on the other hand just listened on in curiosity.

Summer: I've asked my son this but I need to make sure. Has Y/N been treating you right?

Velvet was surprise by this question out of the blue. She may not have any kind of experience with this but if romance movies have taught her anything is that this was asked to people that were in relationships. Not only that but it would be one that the dad would ask the man. Maybe she just misheard is all.

Velvet: I'm sorry but can you say that again?

Summer: Has our little Y/N been treating you right? He might of lived on another world but that is no excuse to treat someone wrong.

Velvet: Y/N has been treating me wonderfully. To be honest before Y/N the only other people I would talk to is my team.

Summer: That's good.

Hearing this Tai softly elbows Summer as a heads up that she messed up.

Summer: Oh, I mean it's good that our Y/N is treating you right. Not the whole talking only to your team.

Mentally beating herself up Summer could only wait in silence for you to show up. Luckily she only had to wait a few minutes before you did.

Y/N: So what's happening?

Ruby: I think we should just go before we run out of time.

Y/N: Where are we even going?

Tai: Nothing special. We'll save that for when the semester ends.

Summer: I planned-

Tai simply coughs at that statement.

Summer: We planned to do a simple family picture. You know for memories.

Y/N: I can accept that. It's not like we're going to be the type to have matching shirts, right?

Ruby: So we actually do that. Yeah... Those ones have their own photo album.

Quietly muttering how this is now your life you just accept it and follow on to the photography store. The way to the store goes smoothly with Summer, Tai, Ruby, and even Velvet asks you questions about your former life. Tai was more interested in who you were. While Summer on the other hand ask questions about your other family. Ruby of course was interested more on what you did as in her own words it would help in thinking of team moves. Velvet though didn't asks any particular questions but rather any on that confuse her or was just curious about. You did this to the best of your ability.

Entering inside you decided to look at all of the random framed family photos while Ruby and Tai were talking to the person who owned the store. By the sounds of it they knew the person. You can only guess this is where they always go for the supposed pictures they take. Looking to them you wondered where Summer and Velvet are. The question was quickly answered as you hear your mom talking to Velvet on the other side of the room.

Velvet: I don't know. It doesn't feel right of me to intrude on this.

Summer: Nonsense, you're practically apart of our family now. If I heard things right you were there for Y/N along with his brother and friend since the first day.
