Chapter 11

Jasmine

We arrive home and I enter my main floor to see Ann, Jeff, and Eric sitting around the counter. I take off my shoes and the coat Rosen let me use and walk towards my friends.

"Jasmine! Your home, we were worried about you." Ann said, running to me and rapping me into her arms.

"Ann, I'm fine I'm not hurt. I have to go to my office to prepare for the wedding. When do y'all leave?"

"Tomorrow morning," Jeff says, walking over to me and giving my forehead a kiss.

"Ok, I will be ready in half an hour," I say walking towards the fridge to grab a smoothie. And walking towards my elevator. Once the doors close I scan my hand to access to the basement. Once the doors open I walk into my basement. Down here is my armory, training grounds, and a bathroom. I go towards my wall of weapons and grab the knife I always keep in my hair and replace it. I take my gun out of my holster and set it back in its case. Once it's back I walk over towards the computer in the middle of my room. I sit on the desk and notice a crypt message waiting for me. I unencrypted it and read.

Shadow We have a new mission for you, S.G.T. Justin Black is in hiding, he stole very important intel regarding the Russian Mafia, the intel can take us down in less than 24 hours. We have attached a photo and location where he is hiding, he did not hide himself very well. You are the best agent for this job. You must do your job to find the missing intel and then get rid of him. You have 48 hours to get the job done.

I checked the time stamp and noticed I have less than 24 hours left. I open the photo and map of where he is located and call my team on a burner phone.

"Hazel, Storm, Winter, and Jazell, we have a new mission." I fill them in and tell them we leave at midnight. Then I turn off my computer and go to my bedroom. I shower and get my things ready for my job. Once I'm ready I grab my helmet and head down to the main floor.

"Guys, I'm heading out. Rosen come with me. I'm taking my bike." I say grabbing a bottle of water.

Once I get on the road I head south for about 20 minutes, I know Rosen is following close behind me. This wedding will take about 3 hours. Then I can go home and prepare for the mission. I have a secret tunnel that leads toward my warehouse in my basement. Where my team will be at midnight. I've done this almost every day. It's been quiet for a week. I can easily get away from the guards and bodyguards. I've done this since I was 5 years old.

Flashback age 6

"Jasmine, I am S.G.T Briant. The man in charge. Your name is now "Shadow" "The Shadow" We have been training you and June, You are the best of the team, you have shown you can be in charge when you get older. You have proven yourself worthy. Now is your time to show me if you can handle the outside world of evil. Your first mission is hunting down Robert Grey, he has kidnapped my daughter Hazel and has been abusing her. I have the location where he is keeping her. I am sending you 3 of the top people under you, Storm, Winter, and Jazell. They will be your team for the foreseeable future. In this file is everything you will need in order to track Robert and Hazel down. Follow me."

I follow S.G.T. Briant down a hall and into a basement. Once we step inside I am surrounded by weapons.

"Jasmine, I have a few gifts for you." He hands me 2 boxes inside one of them is a small knife, and in the 2nd box is a Blue Scorpion Cobet pistol. Along with bullets and holster. I pick them up and the gun is a little heavy and big in my tiny hands. I pull my hair into a loose bun and put my new knife into my bun making sure it is hidden then I put my holster on my thigh and load the gun. Once the safety is on I place it into my holster. And look up to see. S.G.T. Briant watching me with a huge smile on his face.
