The day had seemed to go by really fast and no really bothered me the rest of the day. My brother had texted him to meet at the car so we could head to the apartment.

I made my way over to the car, but before I reached there, I saw a familiar head talking to my brother.

Cooper.

I was pretty angry that Cooper had sought out my brother. I was in such an anger haze that I didn't ponder on how exactly Cooper knew that Charlie was my brother.

I marched to the car and by the time I got there, steam was practically coming out my ears. "What the hell are you doing here Cooper?" I asked angrily.

Cooper just smiled at me while Charlie just looked kind of confused and frowned at how rude I was being.

"Jen! Stop being so rude to Coop."

Coop? What the hell? Did my brother make friends with him?

I voiced my questions out loud. "Are you friends with this guy Charlie?"

"Yeah, he's in my Economics class. Coop here was just telling me about Crescent Hill." Charlie said while glaring at me.

All while my brother and I were talking, Cooper was just smiling and standing there. As if our conversation amused him.

"I was just asking your brother what made your family want to move to Crescent Hill, that's all. Your brother isn't as secretive as you." Cooper said cheekily.

I looked at Charlie. I didn't know what lie he had told Cooper so I would have to ask when it was just the two of us.

"Jenny you should apologize to Cooper for being so rude."

I gaped at my brother, thinking he had gone nuts. Did he really expect me to apologize to his guy? He was stalking me!

Ok maybe that was a little dramatic, but it was sketchy that he had sought out my brother. It didn't rub me the right way.

My brother was waiting on me to apologize and I knew we would stand there all day if I didn't because Charlie always got his way.

"Fine. Sorry." I spit out.

Charlie knew that was as good as it was going to get. I wasn't much for apologizing because I felt like I was usually in the right.

"Well man, I better get heading home before Jenny has a breakdown over here." Charlie told Cooper, jokingly.

"Alright dude. See you tomorrow during Econ." Cooper waved goodbye to Charlie and nodded at me. I just glared.

I opened the passenger door and threw my bags in. I then sat down in the car, waiting for my brother to get in. My brother was shaking his head outside of the car, until finally he got in. He started up the engine and then began his speech.

"Jen, I know you hate moving and you hate making friends because of it. I know you don't make friends because of me and my secret and I'm sorry. I wish you didn't have to carry my burden. But it's okay, you know. It's okay to make friends and to start some roots every once in a while. Try and make friends here. These people seem really nice and friendly."

"What's the point, Charlie? We're just going to leave in a month. And I'm glad I know your secret. It makes us closer than most siblings." I replied back. He smiled when I said I was glad to know his secret.

"We aren't leaving in a month. It's my senior year and I'm gonna wait it out until I graduate. I have a feeling about this town. I have feeling this is going to be good for us." Charlie looked happy talking about staying here.
