| Prologue 1| It All Started Like This

The sun shines down the town as the hard workers start their jobs. My shoes tap inter pavement ground as I keep the same pace walking down the street. The villagers greet me as I greet them back with a smile. It's been three years since this town was saved. A smile continues to stay on my face as I walk past all the crowd and enter the store I the building. The town was like a maze but instead of walls, buildings of stores and home replace it. This town stands beside the sea while docks are also created. Our town is not too big but big enough to become a town. Beside the town was the mountains surrounding the other half where the ocean isn't at. In the store I just entered, it was near the square which was beside the docks. The store was a restaurant mixed with a cafe and bar. When I take a scan at the place, it was painted dark brown with brown furniture and yellow lights. On the right side, there was a long counter where the bar is while the rest of the space is occupied by tables and chairs. Walking towards the bar, I open the 'secret' door to enter inside the bar and quickly walk to the farther side to open a door that leads to the stairs which are on the right side of the door. Straight down, there were two more doors, one was the storage room for cleaning and the other one was the kitchen that was around the same size as the room where the tables took. Entering the storage room, I took out the mop and head back to the bar while grabbing an apron beside the door. Wearing the apron, I start doing a quick cleaning in the store until the door opens ringing the bell. Looking towards it, a man with dark medium length hair that curls out at the bottom comes in. He had a small bear under his chin as his grey eyes look towards me.

" Ah!" He smiles," Good morning, Yuki. You're early today!"

I nod while smiling back," Good morning, Boss. And would you please saying that every time. You already know that I always come here at this time."

He scratches his head as he gives out a chuckle. Smirking a little, I start heading to the back of the bar as he does the same. But he stays in the bar as I walk back to the storage to place the broom back. When I get back into the bar, he has already prepared the things he needs to do and goes outside to place the open sigh. Quickly, I go back to the front of the bar where stools stood there and I sat on one. Someone else also comes into the store behind the Boss and we both nod at each other as he walks to the kitchen. That was our chef. He doesn't like talking but loves to cook food and they are delicious. I might even die if I don't eat his food everyday. Waiting just a few minutes in our positions, the door opens and people start to enter. Smiling with my usual smile, I start my work. Taking orders, leading them to a table, serving food, taking the dishes, etc. When a few hours passed, I placed the order on the counter giving it to my boss. He quickly stops me as he speaks up while taking the paper.

" It seems like the square is in danger again, huh, Yuki?" He states.

Instantly, I freeze. I've heard of that just recently like two minutes ago. He places his hand in my shoulder and instantly I knew the sign. Taking off the apron, I hand over the apron to him and he easily takes it. Rushing out of the store, I quickly run down the street until I reach the Square. There, a crowd of people slowly back away while watching a group of bandits swinging their swords around carelessly. Near them was a woman who is down of the ground trying to crawl away but too afraid. My eye twitches as I start rushing to them, the crowd notices me and instantly creates a path for me to walk to the bandits.

" Hey." I shout as I continue to walk casually to them.

They all looks towards me frowning until they scan through me and snicker. One of them, probably the leader, walks up to me while leaning his body forward. When his face gets right into me, my nose scrunched a bit at his breathe.

" What do you want, little girl?" He asks.

" I want you butt to leave this town." I reply coldly while having a small staring contest with him.

He and his comrades roar in laughter as they swing their head back.

The leader starts looming back at me glaring this time," Wanna say that again, shorty?"

" You've been warned." I replied and with a swift leg up to his face, he flies all the way past the crowd of people.

The bandits were shocked at what just happened as the villagers start cheering. Confused with shock, the others charge at me while I flip my hair back.

" Smart choice." I sarcastically reply as I easily rise my leg again and kick them all in the head with one swift kick.

The crowd continues to cheer loudly as a part of it creates a path for a group of blue and red dressed men to pass. A boy a bit older than me stops in front of me with his usual smile. He had gold brown hair and green bright eyes.

" Thank you, Yuki. It seems like you always arrive at these scenes earlier than the army." He comments as the other soldiers tie up the bandits.

" I have my sources." I reply while placing one of my hand on my hips.

He chuckles," The offer is still open. For you to join the military. You'll definitely exceed in helping us."

" No thanks, Jacob. I like being here without getting the pressure of being in the military." I apologize.

He nods," I understand. But I hope that you'll change your choice soon. You'll be a great help to us."

I nod back as he turns away from me and commands his army to move. Arresting the bandits, they start moving away from the square. After some gratitude from the crowds, I start rushing back to the store. When I arrive, the store was filled with many people. All men. Bandits, thieves, and pirates. But as long as they don't disrupt the peace here, I'll be fine with having them here. Also, they give me lots of information that I can use. Walking towards the Boss, he tosses me the apron and I easily catch it as I wrapped it around me once again.

" So?" He asks as he hands me two jugs of beer.

" It was just some bandits. That's all. But I took care of them. The Marines then later arrested them." I reply as I grab hold of the two jugs and look at the Boss who's holding out two fingers.

Walking to Table 2, they stop talking as I place their drinks on their table. They 'thank' me getting a small nod and smile from me.

" Hey, did you hear. The Libra found one of those legendary maps!"

" Ya! Also the Cancer found one too!"

Also, did you hear that they'll be docking at these docks with the rest of The Zodiac Pirates today?!"

" What?! But they rarely show what they're doing! How did you get this information?"

" A buddy of mine overheard it and started to spread the news. I don't know if they wanted us to hear it or not but they'll definitely come."

" Really?! Well, then everyone will probably go to steal those maps. You going?"

" Ya."

My ears catch everything all of them say and I frown. Ignoring everything else they have said, only one thing entered my head. Stealing the maps at the dock means fighting for them too. Walking back to the counter, Boss pats my shoulder.

" Looks like you're not done yet, today." He smirks getting me to smirk back.

" Whatever. The fight will end as soon as I snap my fingers." I reply brushing his hand of me.

He snickers at my attitude as I continued to serve these foolish people. When manly of them left to go fight at the docks, I waited for a few minutes before I also start moving. Placing my apron back on the hook, I start walking down the street. Many bandits, thieves and bandits filled the street and using this, I quickly sneak out of it and enter an alley. My legs start to create a fast pace as I run down the alleys. Knowing everything about this town, I take many shortcuts that lead to the docks. And when I stop running, I have already arrived at the entrance of the docks and looking both ways, no one was spotted. Quickly, I hide in the tree as I sat on a huge sturdy branch and watch until the event happens.
