Prologue 2 It All Started Like This

A few minutes pass by until a huge crowd of bandits, thieves, and pirates appear across the dock area. Greed was in all of their faces as I watch them sharpen their weapon. This will be a perfect opportunity to take them all down but I still have to see who these Zodiac Pirates are. I just hope that they'll be coming to the Main Dock like they announced. My answer was  indeed answered fast as three ships start heading our way. Watching intently at the three ships, I find flags of silver, yellow and darkish blue.

" It's the Cancer, Gemini, and Libra!" One of the bandits shout getting everyone's attention to look out to the sea to find the three approaching ships.

All of them start getting ready to fight as the ships slowly dock with six pirates abroad each of them.

One of the crew members on the silver flag ship sighs," I just wanted a calm day. Is that hard to ask for?"

" I know right! Is that hard to ask?!" A crew member from the darkish blue flag ship almost shouts," I lost an hour of my beauty sleep!"

" Haha! It is said that today is Libra's and Cancer's unlucky day!" Someone from the blue flag ship chirps.

A small argument goes between the crews as I watch with disbelief. Are they actually bickering at each other right in front of 10,000 bandits? Idiots.

" So you've finally come, huh, Zodiac Pirates!" One of the bandits snicker,"It's good that you did as we need to take those legendary maps from you now!"

That's when the bandits start to attack the small group of pirates. Not hesitating to fight back, the pirates  take out their weapons. Watching the battle, I don't move an inch as I just watch. It doesn't involve me. They may be having a battle in the Main Dock, but as long as it doesn't involve harming the civilians, I won't get involved.

A whistle breaks my concentration of watching to look at the main entrance of the Main Dock. There, another group of pirates stand there, but it was much larger than the others as it consisted a lot of people.

" It looks like a battle started."

" We were suppose to meet here, but I don't think we'll be having one of our regular meetings..."

A small group of the bandits notice the new arrivals and one of them shouts,"The other Zodiac Pirates are here!"

This gets some of the bandits to start charging at the newcomers as I watch with disbelief. I have nothing else to say to these idiotic pirates. Sighing, I smack my forehead on the tree trunk. The fight continues to last for minutes as I watch calmly. There was still around 9,000 bandits at the dock as the exhausted pirates continue to fight. At least they defeated 1,000 of them. That's no feat. Just when I was about to run off back into the town, a scream fills the air getting me to whip my head to the source. There, a girl with children behind her appear behind the stand. It seems like a bandit bumped into it, revealing their hiding spot. Clicking my teeth, I watch the scene happen right in front of my eyes. The bandit that bump into them then growls as he raises his sword at them. Noticing the children, the Zodiac Pirates turn their way but gets knock down because of it.

" Huh! Not so strong anymore!" One of the bandits shout.

As the sword slashes down to the girl and the children, the girl screams,"Yuki!!"

That's my cue. Suddenly appearing in front of the bandit, I block his sword with the small cylinder in my hand. It was all silver as it was made of metal with beautiful designs.

" Huh? You're..." The bandit fearfully back away as I glare at him.

" If my memory corrects me, I believe o told you to leave here 8 months ago." I place my arm limp as they stay beside me.

Some of the bandits near us starts cowering back as they see me. My eyes glare at the bandits in front of me as the one in front of me takes his shaky stance.

" Heh! You may be the 'Legendary Protector', but there's no way you can take 10,000 bandits!" He tries to threaten.

" It's actually 8,739 bandits." I reply before smirking with a glint in my eyes," And if you don't think that I won't be able to defeat that much. Let's take it to the test."

The bandits take their position as they all face me. Chuckling, I swipe my arm which has the cylinder in the hand down getting the cylinder to expand into a long metal staff. It's beautiful designs stay on as I start swinging it side to side while taking a step forward. That's when they start attacking getting me to raise my weapon up high and slash it down across them with power. Hitting them square in the stomach, they all fly back as they hit the other bandits. Looks like the fun will be starting now.

" I'll create a path back to the main entrance, go back to the town and stay there until you're safe." I instruct getting frantic nods from the girl and children.

Spinning the staff, I make it stop as I swing it at the bandits blocking the main entrance. Easily making a path, they start running out of the dock as I stay in front of the main entrance with my eyes closed spinning my staff. Until I couldn't hear their footsteps behind me, I open my eyes and look at the vengeful bandits. Taking a deep breathe, I stop my swinging and look at them with a smirk. Raising my free hand out, I make a gesture to them to come.

" Let's see what you've got."

My pace of breathing becomes faster as I pant heavily. My legs almost give in but I don't let it as I place my hands on my knee. Sweat rolls down my face as it drops into the floor. An hour of non-stop fighting can take me out. But, I did have them on, so it makes sense I'm like this. As I continue to pant, trying to get back to my standard breathing pace, my legs couldn't take it anymore and I drop. Hitting the ravel road, I look up to the sky as I continue to try to catch my breathe. Relaxing as I feel the soft gust of wind pass by, I was about to close my eyes until the force of getting me to close my eyes interrupts. Blackness was all I saw as I can hear far voices talking.

The new world begins.
