Mindy Meeks-Martin sits on the dark colored couch. She holds a plastic cup that holds a dark red alcoholic beverage. When she arrived at the Omega Beta Zeta party only 20 minutes before, her anxiety caused an ache to develop in her throat as her lungs started to struggle for some fresh air.

However, she attended the party to make her girlfriend happy. Anika Koyoko. The asian girl sits only an inch beside Mindy. She smiles as she wears a bright orange top that resembles a halloween pumpkin.

Mindy cringed at a random tall brown haired boy who chatted with his friends. At first, you'll probably think that Mindy had some vendetta towards the random boy. She didn't, but the ghostface costume with the colorful bright mask didn't make her feel any better.

She rolled her eyes and placed her attention back onto Anika. The two women started to flirt and enjoyed the atmosphere in each other's presence. They could've danced but that wasn't their cup of tea.

As they both observe the party room, which would originally just be the living room, they spotted their friend who walked through the tall wooden door with another group of people.

Mindy and Anika's friend, Sherri West, or better known as Cherri West to the friend group.

The long brown hair runs down Cherri's back as a red horned crown sat on top of the girl's head. She wears a red spaghetti strap leotard with red opera gloves which is covered by a red cape. She wore pink tights that ran along her toned thighs as the shiny red boots covered her strong calves and feet.

Cherri looked around a group of people to spot any of her friends that were among the crowd. The girl's bright brown eyes searched for any familiar face as she rubs her glove-covered hands together.

"Cherri over here!"
Mindy yelled over the loud pop music.

The lightskin woman turned her head to the right to see her two friends sitting closely on a dark colored couch together. She smiled at the sight of her friends, but the smile turned into a smirk as she knew of the relationship between the pair.

"Ouuu I see that you guys are having fun!"
Cherri joked as she sat on Mindy's left. Anika smirked as Mindy rolled her eyes playfully.

"I'm joking, I'm joking!"
Cherri called out which caused the trio to laugh.

"Don't worry Cher, we were having a good time."
Mindy goes to tickle Anika, who makes an "eep" sound as she flinches away from Mindy's fingers. This caused Cherri to giggle.

"I'm sorry I am late. I had to close the cafe tonight. We were busy because of the amount of customer's celebrating our halloween discounts."
Cherri rolled her eyes at the faint memory.

Noticing that mindy didn't suspect her half-lie, the brown eyed girl tried not to smirk a little. Mindy only nodded at her explanation. She did work down on 50th street at the small cafe. However, She didn't close and only had to work until mid-evening.

This was due to other plans that she had to attend to..

"Don't feel bad, you didn't miss much, just some josh dude throwing up all over the bathroom."
Anika spoke up, this caused Cherri to cringe at the visualization.

"Forgot to mention Cher.... you really came dressed as an MCU character?"
Mindy pointed up and down at Cherri's costume. The medium-toned girl rolled her eyes as she knew about the debate that was going to start.

Mindy and Cherri met back in an english class during the first day of the summer semester. Cherri was originally supposed to introduce herself first, but Mindy did herself. Noting that she knows Cherri as one of Tara and Samantha's new roommates.

"Correction, I came as the Scarlet Witch from Marvel Comics."
Cherri smiled, feeling proud of herself for correcting Mindy's tiny error.

"Oh whatever, Comic Nerd."
Mindy smirked at the nickname that she gave Cherri a few months ago.

"Shut up Horror Geek!"
Both Cherri and Anika laughed.

The trio sat on the couch as they observed the party happening around them. Only two minutes go by before as the girls chilled a little bit more, enjoying the fun atmosphere that the party gave off. Alcohol, Strong Perfume Fragrances, and hints of weed flowed through the trio's nostrils.

Tara Carpenter, another best friend that is apart of the friend group, walks by the trio to the other side of the room at the party to where the bar sits. Tara doesn't walk away without waving to the three girls on the couch, she unintentionally ignores a question that Mindy yelled at her over the party music.

Anika and Mindy looked ahead at Tara with a wondering expression. They wondered what the 21 year old girl could've been up to.

Cherri on the other hand, looked at tara with darkened eyes and a straight faced expression. She is extra careful on making sure that nobody knows her hatred for the woman that pulled the trigger on her sister.

As far as Tara is concerned, she looks at Cherri as one of her closest friends. They bond at the apartment and share many common interests. They have a good dynamic.

The trio turns their attention back onto the party-goers before Tara comes back minutes later, held onto a strange dude in a all white outfit.

"Oh no, I don't like that."
Cherri speaks up before Anika or Mindy had the chance to.

The Scarlet Witch stands up and quickly walks towards Tara, grabbing her arm gently and stopping her from walking forward with the known fraternity weirdo.

"Hey! Wanna call it a night?"
Cherri says as Tara smiles back at her.

"No- Uh- I think i'm still going to hang but you guys don't have to wait for me."
Tara says as she looks back and forth between Cherri and the dude she's planning on hanging with.

"Don't worry, i'll take care of her."
The dude looks down at Cherri.

In reality, Cherri didn't give a shit about what Tara wanted to do. However, she is portrayed as the smart and caring friend. Nobody can suspect otherwise.

There was something else that she hated more than the Carpenter sisters, "alpha bro" males that are conceited and have higher egos than what their looks give off.

"I'm Frankie."
The dude introduced himself.

"Sherri."
The lightskin girl responded with a straight face, which caused tara to giggle a little.

"Sherri just know that I appreciate you looking out for me."
Tara speaks up before walking away with "Frankie."

Cherri turns around to a disappointed Anika and a fed up Mindy. She knew that the reactions weren't towards her, but rather towards Tara's bad choices in men.
