A new life

I made it, I made it to earth I ended up landing in Los Angeles because I wanted to attend UCLA. It took some tinkering but I found a way for me to enroll without them knowing I'm from a different galaxy and got excepted. I was so ready for this new life.

I got my classes in order and started deciding where I wanted to live. I didn't want to live in the dorms and I only had so much money saved up from past birthdays. I already had to spend a little on a new phone so that no one could track me with my old one (which I left in galaxsis). So that took a little away. So I knew I would have to get a job but that was okay.

I wanted to take a break after everything that's been happening but I knew I had no time for breaks and that I had too keep going. I told myself that I'll take a break after I find somewhere to live and a job. So I continued looking for jobs and apartments when all of a sudden an add on an account popped up saying that someone was looking for a roommate to share rent with so I took a screen shot and looked where that was. Luckily it was only an hour away so I took a bus and made my way over their using the gps. The bus ride was about 3 hours but it was early so It was okay. After a 3 hour bus ride and a 20 minute walk I finally made it. When I got there I started to overthink. What if it was a trap what if my mom was right about people on earth what if... I blocked those thoughts out trying to stay positive used the little courage I had and knocked on the door.

I was looking at the floor when someone opened the door. "Hi" I said with my head still looking at the ground. " I saw an ad online about someone looking for a roommate and I just wanted to know if this is the right place" I said small enough for it to be a whisper. "Yes this is the right place" I heard a man say and I darted my head to look at him. He was tall and very handsome, his face was sculpted to perfection and his hair was neat and beautiful. He was so majestic like one of those Greek gods I read about while learning earth history in high school. He smiled at me weirdly indicating that I'd been staring too long and I shook my head getting my self out of my daze and asked to come in, "do you mind if I come in" I said nervously. "Yeah sure right this way" he said with a soft calm voice. "I'm Brandon and you are". "Oh I'm so sorry I'm y/n it's nice to meet you" I said while internally cursing myself for forgetting something as simple as an introduction. "It's nice to meet you too" he said with a wide smile showing me his perfectly straight teeth. God his smile is gorgeous I said to myself still staring at him.

He told me to sit down at the dining table so we could talk a little more and discuss rules regarding our living situation. "First things first how old are you,where are you from, do you have any pets, do have a boyfriend that will be coming over, or anything like that" he said looking in my eyes. "I'm 18, I just moved here from..." I paused for a second to come up with a good lie to tell him "I'm from the bay" I told him. I had learned a lot about the Bay Area and fell in love with it it made sense in my head so I said that. "Mm okay but what about the other questions I asked" he said still wanting answers. "Oh right I don't have any pets or a boyfriend, or friends for that matter so you don't have to worry" I said realizing I am completely alone in this world with no one but me. "Great well that's good to know" he said still trying to give me eye contact. I kept averting my eyes but he kept trying to catch my eye. "What about you, like what's your age and do you have a girlfriend" I said hoping that he didn't. By the way he was startled by my question I could tell that he zoned out while looking at me. "Im 20, I don't have any pets or a girlfriend so no" he said mater of fact. "Cool" I said scoping the room out to get a feel for it.

"Rent is 750 a month for both of us, and it's always due on the the first. Are you able to do that?" "Yes I am." "Okay great it's settled then" he said with a i light shrug. "Wait that's it nothing else we're just roommates now" I said confused. "Yes that's it welcome roomie" he said with a smile before walking away. "Your room and bathroom are right here so get comfy" he said before turning into what I assume is his room.

I went out side to where I hid all my belongings using my invisibility powers and brought them up to my new room. I unpacked everything, decorated my room and made it look nice. I made sure to bring my egg chair with me because I loved it so much. I used my magic to make everything I brought with to fit in my pocket so I won't have to carry all that heavy stuff. When I was done I layer on my bed and closed my eyes drifting to sleep after a long week.
