Lasko Wants to be a Cowboy Baby

Chapter One

         It was a rainy Halloween when Beck and Lasko approached an unattended candy bowl. Beck's firefighter costume dripped with rain water as he padded toward the bowl. His golden fur sat damply on his body, though he felt too lazy to dry himself. Lasko walked closely behind him in his cowboy costume, his brown rubber boots sloshing on the drenched concrete. As the two got closer to the candy bowl that sat on a dim lit porch, Beck's eyes lit up. He noticed an assortment of caramel candies mixed in with miscellaneous chocolates. Beck glanced around to ensure the house had no cameras or dogs watching from the windows. He stood by the candy bowl, considering dumping the entire bowl into his bag. " Beck, that isn't morally right. " Lasko noticed Beck's intentions. 

 " Oh come on, have some fun. " Beck insisted, opening his candy bag. Lasko shot his friend a glare. He looked Beck right in the eye, his black and white fur waving in the rainy breeze. 

 " I wanna be a cowboy baby. " Lasko announced boldly. Beck's azure eyes widened in shock at this confession.
