𖦹 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 — in which the user uses the ability's most basic form. it is used to form a sense of pity upon a target. the target will attempt to sympathize with the user. the target will become sad and/or inadequate if the user rejects their help.
𖦹 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐰𝐨 — in which the user uses the ability's second form, that causes a target to become sympathetic and pitiful towards the user's crocodile tears or fake sadness. the target will become hurt and hesitant to turn the user away with each tear the target sees.
𖦹 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 — in which the user uses the ability's third form, to which makes the target feel a sudden urge to either cry with the user or desperately reassure the user. if 'successful,' then the target will feel a rush of relief that lowers their guard. if 'unsuccessful,' the target becomes just as 'hurt' as the user is, forcing tears out of the target.
𖥔 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫— in which the user uses the second strongest of the ability's forms. the user has a 'breakdown,' which causes the target to be hit with, initially, shock, and then a mix of fear and immense pity. if they come within physical contact of the user, a sudden wave of sorrow will wash over them. this effect can only be disabled directly by the user, or if the target realizes the user is not genuinely breaking down.
𖥔 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞— in which the user uses the strongest form of their ability. this is activated when the user begins to have a genuine feeling of sadness come upon them, small or large. when the target sees the genuinity in their sadness, the target's body will go into a shutdown. a shutdown is when the target's body is no longer able to move under their own command, and unless commanded by the user or somebody important to the target, it will go stiff and still.
