~(Keegans POV)~

My body jumps to the sound of a slamming metal door. Of course, it was my door. I twisted my body expecting to see McTavish standing at the door grinning, but I was incorrect. It was Ghost.

"Get up, Kee, we're meeting the new recruit." His deep, emotionless voice felt like a stab to the head, but it's better than Gaz's higher pitched voice. I slipped out of my bed and got myself dressed in my uniform. I put on my mask before heading after Lieutenant.

We walked over, my slightly shorter frame following suit to his. "The recruits name is Blake Cordell, Callsign is Echo." Lieutenant gazed back at me with his cold blue eyes. "Why Echo?" I asked, getting a shrug in response.

We walked to where the plane was landing alongside the other team members. As the back of the plane opened, I was expecting to see a tall, muscular male. I obviously was dead wrong. Instead walked forward a petite brunette girl with something covering her eyes and a mask over her lips.

I snicker quietly, which earned glances from all the team members. "This must be a joke," I say with a slight laugh. My smile immediately fades when Price walks over to her, glaring at me. "Mr. Russ, meet your new teammate. This is Echo. "

~(Echo's POV)~

His laugh is like nails to a chalkboard in my brain. I couldn't see anything, but I dismissed myself to the room I was assigned, accompanied by a man named Soap. As soon as I entered, I took notice of the air and surroundings as I placed my duffle bag on the metal bed.

The Scottish man toured me through the entire base, and once done, I immediately went to one of the bathrooms. I gently took off the blind fold, seeing slightly through my weak eyes.

I wipe the blood seeping from my eyes with my small cloth towel before putting the blindfold back on. I left the bathroom, shoving the towel into my pocket as I headed to my room. I sat on my bed and ran my fingers over the necklace that hung around my neck. I feel the texture of the metal around my soft fingers, glazing over the gems stones in it.

I lay down on the bed with a sigh, feeling the air rush out of my lungs, making me relax. I notice my body tense up as I collapse into a restless sleep
