Chapter 10

The flames nearly scorched Calls hair as Tamara shot a fireball towards his head. The three apprentices and Master Rufus were in one of Magisteriums many caves, Here they were learning second level counterattacks and Master Rufus was having them try it on each other.Call was especially weary about Tamara since she was still mad at Call and at Aaron for forgiving him. She had been ignoring the boys for three days now since he told them the news. She even ignored Havoc who would wine and paw for her attention. She would go off somewhere else during breaks and avoid talking to them in lessons. 

He counterattacked Tamaras attack  with water and sent blasts of wind that went around Master Rufus who was standing in the middle watching and went straight for Aaron and Tamara. Aaron managed to use his earth powers and build a shield and counterattack while Tamara seemed to have put up her shield a bit late letting the wind knock her off her feet. "STOP!" Master Rufus walked up to Tamara slowly, arms folded behind his back. "Tamara, You let your guard down, You must focus to build strong counterattacks on time" He walked towards Call "Nice power but you are not focusing on trying to aim properly, You can't just randomly fling counterattacks, and as for you Makar" He walked towards Aaron "Good use of power, nice aim but ypu still can improve a lot more, You are a chaos master but you must be able to control basic elements before you can control chaos, Do you understand me?"

Aaron nodded his head slowly and said "Sure..." 

Master Rufus nodded appovingly "Then that is it. Thank you students you may go have lunch now." 

Call watched Aaron run towards Tamara, still on the ground,  while he tried to walk as fast as his leg braces would let him. Aaron was trying to help but Tamara was insisting "I can take care of myself, I don't need any help, especially from you too." She glared at both of them then stalked off. 

Aaron turned to Call "She still hates us"

Call rolled his eyes "Duh" As the two boys walked towards the Refectory he said "After we grab Havoc and eat, you want to go to the library after lunch? We can research some more on my curse."

Aaron dramatically gasped, Call rolled his eyes "Callum Hunt did you just ask if you wanted to go to the library? With no intentions?"

Call rolled his eyes and shouted "OF COURSE I DO STUPID. IT IS TO. NOT. DIE!"

Aaron laughed unfazed "Ok I get it. And your temper is natural of course but don't worry I won't let my best buddy die!" He wrapped him in a bear squeeze. 

Call simply said "Aaron. If you had known me longer you would know this temper is natural. Ok? And enough with the cheesy stuff its stupid!"

"Ok, ok fine" He set him down and playfuly said "Race you to the dorms" And took of full speed down the caves. 

Call stared down at his leg and mumbled "Not fair" and started walking, leg braces straining. 

Ok here it is. Not a very long or good chapter I know but still gimme a break here. Actually now that I think about it not a lot of my chapters are good anyway. The real copper gauntlet comes out in september and I have to be done before that sooo ok. I don't own the series or characters they all belong to Cassandra Clare and Holly Black. Not me I am just a bored person who sucks at writing. Bye bye.
