It was a totally normal day for Amelia and Frankie. Okay, that was a complete lie. The apartment was in complete chaos as the two girls ran around in a chaotic frenzy. It was the first day of school for them, and despite their previous planning, they were running quite late already.

"LET'S GO, I'M READY NOW!" Amelia shouted in a slight panic as she glanced at the clock.

"I CAN'T FIND MY BAG?? IT WAS JUST HERE A SECOND AGO!" Frankie screamed from another room, causing Amelia to shake her head and facepalm.

In the matter of a few minutes, they were outside, sprinting to the bus stop. Usually, the two of them would just walk to school and talk. Unfortunately, the given circumstances were not in their favour. Running was very much something both Mela and Frankie hated doing. A string of curse words followed as they sprinted to the bus, getting on it just on time and earning a few side eyes from the people around them.

"Holy shit, I'm dying." Frankie shut her eyes and tried to catch her breath. Her face was red and she was clutching her chest like she just ran a marathon or something.

"Same oh my god..." Amelia rested her head on the brunette's shoulder and hugged her bag closer to her, making sure it wouldn't fall in case the bus jolted suddenly.

It didn't take long for them to arrive, the tall and somewhat fancy school building was staring back at them mockingly. Excited chatter filled the air as students were everywhere, greeting each other and talking about their summers.

Amelia glanced around and moved her hand to hold Frankie's in a reassuring manner. Neither of them were particularly happy to be back at the familiar institution. Frankie smiled at her softly, the redness still evident on her face after doing too much running.

They made their way through the noisy crowd, eyeing the young new students and searching for familiar faces at the same time. Despite the number of people, it didn't take long for the two of them to reach the school building and get to their classroom.

Frankie felt her lips curl into a small smile as she saw their fellow classmates. No one seemed to notice them come in, but it didn't matter. Even though she wasn't the most fond of the people she had to share a class with, their presence gave her some sort of strange comfort. Perhaps it was because they were familiar to her, or maybe she had a tiny amount of affection for them after all. She didn't know, but she was certainly excited to greet certain people.

Amelia scanned the room, relived that the teacher hadn't arrived yet, which meant they weren't late. Getting detention on the very first day was not something she had planned. Her eyes landed on a certain boy, causing her to smile widely and drag Frankie along with her.

"Good morning Jungwon!" Amelia greeted happily, the frustration of her hectic morning was suddenly all gone.

"Mela! Hii!" Jungwon looked up from his book to grin at the two girls cutely. His dimples were evident like always.

Jungwon stood up briefly to hug his friends. The three of them weren't able to hang out much during summer, so they were more than eager to see each other again.

"Where's Sunghoon and Kai?" Frankie raised her eyebrows as she looked around the room once again, searching for her dark haired friend.

Sunghoon, Kai, Jungwon, Frankie and Amelia had become a little group of friends, purely by coincidence. They were teamed up at their school's fair last year, despite the fact that they didn't know each other well. Nevertheless, they were a flawless lineup and easily won the games they played against other teams. Things just blossomed from there.

"I'm not sure, they were here before." Jungwon shrugged and smiled innocently.

It didn't take long for the teacher to arrive, causing the chaos in the classroom to die down. Everyone took their respective seats. Nobody was really excited to hear the speech they were forced to listen to at the beginning of every single school year, but perhaps it was still better than learning.
