THIS STORY IS SATIRE BTW!! LMFAO

"I think everyone's here now, please listen up!" Jungwon's voice could be heard from all across the room, grabbing everyone's attention. All 12 students turned to face him, some walking closer to be able to see his face too.

Amelia and Frankie slowly shuffled to the small crowd of people, a newfound nervousness building up inside them. Neither of them predicted that all the troublemakers of the school would for some reason, join the exact same club as them. Frankie, being the shorter of the two, leaned her head against her friend as she listened to her classmate's words anxiously.

"Welcome to the dance club! I'm glad to see many of you here." Jungwon politely stated, while smiling at the others. Jay stood next to him, his face was completely still, no emotion evident in any way. "I'm going to be the Vice-president of this club! Since I'm also class president, I decided that Jay should take on the roll of President of the dance club. So if you have any troubles, feel free to come to us with them."

Frankie and Mela shared a look with each other, both of them being somewhat relieved that they could complain to Jungwon- someone they trusted- if anything was bothering either of them.

Jay cleared his throat shortly and raised an eyebrow before finally saying something. "I expect all of you to give this club your best, since we will in fact be performing in front of the school on multiple occasions. Dance competitions will come in question later once I can determine each of your skill levels."

Frankie listened intently at his words, her eyes naturally growing wide when she was so focused and intrigued. She had to admit, Jay had a very intimidating and professional aura around him. Getting on his bad side wasn't something she wanted to experience at all, giving her a newfound motivation to do her best and give this dance club her all. Meanwhile, Amelia couldn't help but think about the future performances Jay talked about. He came across as a strict teacher, or even dad, rather than a fellow student.

A few moments of silence later, he spoke again, his eyes scanning the faces of the dance students sharply, "For today's session, I would like each of you to perform something and introduce yourselves shortly after. You can dance in up to groups of 4. I'll give you 10 minutes to prepare before randomly picking students to start." He nodded once he finished, signalling us that the 10 minutes were starting at that moment. As the students started chattering again, Amelia noticed Jungwon giving Jay a small thumbs up along with an endearing smile. She raised her eyebrows in confusion, the interaction was certainly not something she expected. It was adorable nonetheless, making her wonder if Jay wasn't all that bad deep down.

"I'm about to shit my pants" Frankie whispered to Mela, her eyes glued to the other students who were reciting their dances in a somewhat panicked state. She let out a nervous laugh, her round face was once again tinted with a light blush due to nerves and embarrassment.

"How cute." Amelia rolled her eyes with a grin and pulled Frankie along with her to an empty space in the large room. "What are we gonna do?? I thought this was a dance club, not a survival show!"

The curly haired girl chuckled at the comment. "We need to calm down, give me a second." She said swiftly before sprawling out on the floor like a starfish, her hair was all over the place as she did so.

Amelia couldn't help but facepalm at the older's dumb actions. She huffed a sigh and sat down with crossed legs next to Frankie. Her fingers slid along the floor in an idle motion, collecting the dust and dirt slowly.

"So what dance are we doing?" Frankie questioned, her head turning slightly to meet Mela's eyes.

"I don't know, it feels like I suddenly forgot every dance we ever learned." Amelia tilted her head, deep in thought, hoping to get some inspiration from their past dances.

Frankie couldn't help but hum in agreement, memory was most definitely not her strong suit. "Wait, should we do a girly dance or a more hip-hop oriented one?"

"I think more hip-hop and powerful, we need to have a good first impression. They need to know we're not some weak ass little girls."

Frankie sat up quickly, her eyes sparkling with determination and excitement. She was always easily hyped up in situations like this, she just needed a reminder that she was able to nail it. "Hell yeah! We're the best!" She laughed, her eyes automatically squishing together and forming crescent moons. In a swift motion, she held her arm up, expecting a high five from her bestie.

Amelia couldn't help but let her smile spread across her face, meeting the brunette's hand with her own as they high fived. They pulled each other up into a standing position, feeling reassured and serious. "I got it. We're gonna dance to break my heart myself."

"Wait, that's perfect!" Frankie agreed, jumping up slightly, unable to contain her excitement. "We're gonna slay this so hard!" She hugged Mela tightly, letting the embrace last for a few seconds before pulling away swiftly.

The two girls got to it straight away, going over the dance in counts and fast pace too. It didn't need much practice, since they both knew the moves perfectly, courtesy of much routine and a strong sense of determination.

꒰ Time Skip ꒱

Time passed by as if it was nothing. Soon enough, everyone was standing in a line near the couch at the back of the room. Jungwon busied himself as he tried to connect the laptop to the speakers, while Jay scanned his schoolmates for the nth time.

Finally, the silence was broken, "Niki, you start. I know you'll set the bar high."

Frankie could feel her heart sink as she let Jay's words register. Her relief of not being chosen was short-lived, as this somehow seemed like a worse option. Everyone in school knew Niki as the dance prodigy, and she was sure nobody in the dance class could do it as well as him. She instinctively turned to look at Amelia, who returned her gaze with similar worry. Mela wanted to say some words of motivation, but held herself back. She wanted to watch Niki's performance before saying something out of the blue.

Niki seemed completely unbothered as he strolled to Jungwon and told him the song he was performing to. Jungwon nodded with a smile and started typing on the laptop straight away.

Frankie's full attention was focused on the tall boy. She couldn't help but notice every small detail about him, she was dying to see him dance. Was he really as good as everyone said? She would see for herself now. His aura and entire vibe screamed nonchalant and cool, even she couldn't deny that, no matter how much she despised him based off the stories she would hear.

Everyone's eyes were locked on Niki as the song started playing. They obviously all knew who he was, and were more than interested in his dance. I mean, everyone joined the dance club for a reason.

He made it look easy. Niki danced effortlessly, hitting every single beat with perfect motion and energy. Not once did he lack speed, somehow his entire body was always in the right spots. His moves were nothing short of mesmerising, he didn't hesitate to live up to his title as the best dancer in the school.

Frankie couldn't peel her eyes off him for a single second, she was absolutely stunned. Her jaw was practically on the floor when he eventually hit his ending pose, sweat decorated his face lightly, the only sign of his effort. She didn't know why she was so surprised, it should have been obvious that he would absolutely nail the dance. She was quickly snapped out of her completely shocked state when Mela nudged her sides urgently.

"Pick your jaw off the floor!" She hissed silently, as to not get the attention of others. "We need to keep our heads high!"

Frankie quickly covered her mouth and relaxed her body that was awfully tense before. She slapped her own cheeks lightly and squeeze her eyes shut. "Right, this isn't a competition"

Amelia noticed the light smirk plastered on Jay's face, along with a look of satisfaction. He definitely knew Niki would ace the dance he performed like nobody else. Maybe this was his way of silently encouraging everyone to do their best, they would have to give their all to even compare to Niki. Mela appreciated his skills of subtly inspiring the class.

"Hey, I'm Niki. My hobby is dance, if you couldn't already tell." He had a faint, smug look on his face, the only proof needed to determine that he knew how good he was. "I'm 17 and I'm from Japan."

That was all he said before walking back to the others. Similar to Frankie, they were all stunned and blown away by his flawless performance. The curly haired girl couldn't help but roll her eyes, her little admiration for him disappeared when she was reminded of his cocky personality.

"Thank you, Niki." Jay nodded his head as he was leaning against the counter with arms crossed over his chest, next to Jungwon.

"Anyone want to go next?" He chuckled, presumably entertained by the looks painted across the other student's faces. Nobody dared to speak, everyone was desperately trying to avoid eye contact as to not get picked.

Amelia felt her heart drop to the floor as a finger was suddenly pointing in her direction. Her eyes widened instinctively, as she held herself back from making any type of snarky comment.

She wished she didn't hear Jay say those 3 words.

"How about you?"
