First person pov:

I drifted into consciousness slowly. My back ached and burned in places where the whip had torn my skin. I was lain on my face and my feet felt warm. Unusually warm. Slowly, I drew my eyes open. The place I was, was substantially brighter than where I had been. The floor felt soft and I stared at it in wonder. When my vision cleared, I saw that I was laid on soft beddings, but brown and dirty. I took a look around.
The room was a bit cleaner than the place I had been kept. I was not chained, and I was on a bed. A blanket was placed over me and a little warm cloth was at my feet, which explained the warmth. The room was small and had two adjacent bunk beds, of which the one opposite me was occupied by two small figures who seemed to be asleep. There was a small window, but the light did not come much from there. A small candle was ablaze on a little stool at the middle of the room.
The room smelt dank and moldy, and it was gently rocking. I soon realized I was still on the ship. My heart sank at this realization, and I began to sob. The recent occurrences were getting to me and it felt like a heap of sand had been put on my shoulders. I began to cry loudly.
Suddenly, I heard a loud shuffle above me. "Girl, shush", I heard a high pitched voice say, annoyed. I sniffled and tried to stop crying. I realized that I was on the lower bunk of a third bunk bed. The girl on top continued, "You ain't the first to be here So stop whining about it and don't disturb my beauty sleep". "Where am I?", I asked the girl. "In your father's palace, she barked back sarcastically. Girl you're new here rii , and today is going to be the most crucial and most unforgettable day you're ever gonna have in your whole damn  life girl", she said as she turned over and put her sheets over her head to muffle her voice.
I did not understand her. What could possibly be worse than getting whipped to unconsciousness, just after a war that killed your parents? I began to cry again quietly. God knows how long I had been asleep. I tried to turn over but my sore back wouldn't let me. It hurt like it was on fire. I slowly got on my hands and knees and tried to sit up. The room was considerably warm. I looked at my body. It was sore and dirty and there were bruises on my hands and feet where I had been tied up. I had been put in a brown dirty, sack gown, like the other sleeping figures in the room. No other person in the room took notice of me. I shakily stood  up and took a look around. There had to be a way to escape, I thought to myself.
I noticed the door at a the dark corner of the room. I crept up to it. It was a heavy metal door and had no openings or handles. It was completely sealed from the inside. I pushed against it but it didn't budge. Just as I bent down to see if there was any opening underneath, I heard chains loosening at the door. I was taken by fear. I tried to move away quickly but my head spun and I fell back to the ground.
The door flew open and crashed into my side and I screamed out in pain. I heard deep voices laughing in the background. "Trying to escape, huh?", said one of them as he kicked me in the same place I had been hit. I screamed out in tears. The two other men let out a roar of laughter. Inside the room, all the people had sat up. They all looked scared, and, they were all girls.
I sat up on the floor, terrified and sobbing in pain. "Don't worry girl. You're special. We're not going to hurt you. In fact, we're going to use you.", the man who kicked me said with a smirk. I stared in horror but I did not understand what he meant. The other men jeered in sickening gladness. "Now, come on. The captain wants to see you."
He grabbed me by my shoulders, flung me over his, and walked out of the room. I heard the chains coming back together behind us. He took me up a little stairway and across some corridors. He walked roughly and I kept hitting my head against his strong hard shoulders. I felt his other hand uncomfortably over my behind. I was too weak to argue or fight. The pain in my side felt like I had broken ribs. He continued walking and conversing with his men. My mind was too hazy to understand what was going on and I was slowly fainting. Soon we got to a slightly cleaner part of the ship. We walked through a set of doors and stopped.
"Drop her". I heard a familiar deep voice say. The man dropped me carefully on the floor. It was obvious he was scared of this man. I fell to the floor and lay on my back, with my ears ringing. "Now all of you leave.", he told them. They all left the room as quickly as possible. Once they were gone, the man walked over to me and stared down at me. He was a huge man. He was dressed in the sailor's uniform but it had an edge of danger to it. It was torn menacingly in places and had flecks of blood splattered everywhere. His face wasn't too far off except for the blood. Numerous scars had crafted his face showing he was a pirate with experience. He glared at me and said, "Do not for once think I do not know you, Anishia Saxler."
