Do you love me? - Charles Leclerc

2016

I wake up to the sound of birds chirping and the sun beaming through my curtains straight onto me in bed. I rub my eyes roughly and stretch my whole body out before reaching to my bedside table for my phone.

I see my usual text from Marija pop up in my notifications.

''Good morning hun, have a good day today, stay strong, I love you <3'' I smile reading the text before replying.

Marija moved to London for school about 5 months ago so it's been mainly me myself and I.

I put my phone back down and stretch my arms up again. I get up out of bed going up to my window, moving the curtains to the side I open the window and I feel a hit of fresh air hit my face. I take it all in as I lean against my small balcony outlooking Monaco.

This house was truly a pot of gold.

Every morning is truly a dream in this house. This balcony. Truly a dream come through.

I take my quick morning shower, get my makeup done and throw on a quick floral blue and white sundress to run a few errands around Monaco. I grab an apple to eat and throw it into my handbag, turn on some Beige TH high wedge sandals and I was ready to leave.

I haven't been paying much attention to F1 since Charles and I broke up. Other than Lando and everything he's doing, but other than that I haven't a clue about anything.  You'd think I would since I live in Monaco, but nope.

Lando and I stay in contact quite a lot which I didn't expect. This year has been a massive year for Lando. He won three championships, The Toyota Racing series in New Zealand, Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup and Formula Renault 2.0 NEC. It's been a huge year for him. I'm really happy for him. I'm so proud of him.

He should be back in Monaco any day now which is exciting, I haven't seen him in such a long time.

After walking about 7 minutes I arrive at the market with all of the fresh fruit and veg. I walk around looking around and buying bits.

After I've gotten what i needed to get, I take everything home quickly then go back, I grab a smoothie and walk along a long path overlooking Monte Carlo. The weather was beautiful today. Beautiful would be an understatement really. No wind, other than a light breeze ever so often, no clouds, just sun.

Eventually I find a spot to sit and just look out onto the beauty in front of me.

I come here quite often and think. There's never tourists here, it's a very local people walking path and I loved that about it, it was always so peaceful and you could just sit and think in peace.

It's also a spot Charles and I used to come to a lot when we were together.

It's been 4 years already.

I'd be lying if I said I was over Charles. I'm definitely not over him. Maybe I'm more over him than I was then but I'm still definitely no where near.

2 weeks later

Lando has officially arrived back and Im at the airport to greet him back. I'm so excited. I had to get the train to the airport since I cant drive and Lando has his car in the airport car park.

After about 20 minutes of waiting at the airport with lots of families waiting for people I see Lando emerge from the huge crowd of people.

''Lando!'' I shout and run toward him hugging him instantly.

''Victoria! Hey!'' He shouted hugging me back tightly resting his chin ontop of my head.

We have a little moment then talk for a second then start walking toward the car park. ''Sooooo how was ittt, you happy'' I said smiling at Lando. ''Very happy, im so so happy everything is going great.''

We arrive back in Monaco in Lando's car, we blasted and sang basic white girl music the whole way back. I don't think I've ever laughed at Lando more.

We arrive at Lando's childhood house where he still lived. We get out of the car and I start to walk toward the door as Lando grabs his suitcases.

''Lando! Victoria!'' Lando's mother comes out greeting both of us happily. She hugs me first giving me a kiss on the cheek before going over to Lando and hugging him tightly. We stayed there for a while catching up and talking over tea.

''You wanna go out to get dinner maybe?'' Lando looks at me waiting for a response. ''Actually yeah I'd love to, im so hungry'' I smiled fixing my hair putting it all back standing up, Lando following behind. ''Bye Mrs. Norris'' I look at her before exiting the room waving and she waves back ''Bye mom''

I hope you guys liked this part, it's a slow one but the one after this one is good i promise. Took me all day to write because i kept getting distracted, but i'm going to be posting it in about 20 minutes 👀
