What do You have to think about?

After the three teenagers left, Arlo and Lucian stayed in their bedroom in complete silence.

Both of them were thinking about what they had just seen and heard.

"So..." Arlo started to say as he looked at Lucian after a while. "Do you plan to—"

"I don't know. I have to think about it."

When Arlo heard this, his expression changed to one of disbelief at what the other male was saying.

"Are you crazy? What do you have to think about?" Arlo really thought his friend was not thinking straight. "We both saw the same picture, right?"

Lucian nodded as he thought about the image of that young woman.

"Do you want to die or something? Why do you have to think about it? Although I don't like Jace, we have to agree that he can protect you. They can help you understand your powers much more than I or some dumb movie on TV can."

"..." Lucian knew that what Arlo was saying was true. He knew he needed them. If he had seen something like that before, he would have never believed it. Witches... Tony said they were given their powers by a powerful demon. So for the werewolves, witches are evil.

They look like humans, but their hearts are diabolic. Witches only care about themselves, just like vampires. But even vampires kill to feed themselves. Witches kill just because they like to experiment with magic and spells.

Lucian was truly scared; all this was too much for him to stomach. "I know I don't have a choice. I'm also scared after seeing that photo," he said as he looked at his best friend. "This is definitely not the experience I wanted to have after coming here. Although I don't regret becoming a werewolf, now that I start to see all these dangers, I can't help but think that it's not worth it. I have been experiencing all these weird feelings with Jace, even after he hurt you! I can't stop... I also discovered that I was adopted and I have probably killed someone. You saw the way Jace and Tony talked about Chris's body—they are so desensitized."

Arlo nodded, his fiery red hair catching the light. "I get it, man. This is a lot to take in. But you need to think about your safety. Jace's pack might be your best bet right now."

Lucian sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I know you're right, but I don't trust Jace. Not after what happened."

"Yeah, I don't like him, but he can protect you. Being a lone werewolf is dangerous, Lucian. You've seen what can happen."

Lucian stared at the floor, the weight of the decision pressing down on him. "What if joining his pack changes me? What if I become like them?"

Arlo placed a hand on Lucian's shoulder. "You're not like them. At least not right now. You've got a good heart, and you care about people. Just because you're a werewolf doesn't mean you have to lose that, and if you do... well ill be right there to beat your ass and make you get back to your senses."

Lucian chuckle as he look at Arlo. "Alright..."

"Well that wasn't that Bad" Tony said as he walk beside Mary and Ben.

"Yeah... I think he Will agree to join"
Ben said as he smile sligthly. "That Arlo is really something." He said as he thought about the red hair boy.

"What about him?" Mary asked.

"He is really brave. He could still talk to us even after what happened with Jace. I think it's very interesting how he could still face us. He just saw how weak he is against supernatural creatures. We can easily crush him, kill him, beat him, and he wouldn't even be able to hurt a single strand of our hair, but there he was, looking straight into our eyes and worrying about his friend who has also almost killed him. That's so interesting."

Tony and Mary couldn't help but look at Ben deeply. The other male always appeared to be the most gentle in their group, but he was fucking scary sometimes.

"Yeah... You might have a point," Mary said, thinking it was quite unique. Although she had never confessed what she was to a human, so at first, she didn't think much of it, but now, after Ben said this, she couldn't help but think that Arlo really cared about Lucian. He really did...
