"Please, don't do anything reckless."

Amber tries to spend the rest of the morning away from camp, she can't stand the obnoxious scrambling and hollering of the delinquents' chaos. All of that is forgotten however when a scream pierces the air. Nervously, she follows the crowd that rushes towards the sound.

A mass of people have gathered on top of a slope, and when she strains her neck over their shoulders she finds Wells holding a knife against Murphy's throat at the bottom.

"Drop it!" Wells bellows. He's forced Murphy's hand behind his back, where a sharp blade glints. Both of their faces are bruised and bloody.

Amber's first thought is that she has to stop them before someone is killed, but her mantra is so engraved in her brain that the words echo in her head like their own entity. Stay out of it. Stay in the shadows. Stay alive.

Everyone else is still, anticipating what's to come. Amber glances at the faces around her and silently begs someone to interfere, but it's easy to hide in the crowd.

"Wells!" Like sent from above, Clarke enters from the bushes, trailed by the crew who followed her to Mount Weather. Unafraid, she walks up to the two guys locked in a struggle.

"Let him go," she insists.

Wells shoves Murphy away, who attempts to rush at him the second he regains balance. Bellamy steps in his way.

"Enough," he commands and grabs Murphy's shoulders forcefully.

Unwillingly, Murphy backs away, and Amber lets out a breath. One would think he has a death wish by the way he lets anger control him. A threat to himself.

Octavia stumbles out into the clearing and Bellamy is quickly at her side to offer support.

"What happened?" he asks Clarke once he's taken hold of his sister. "Where's the food?"

She looks too devastated to form an answer, but Finn, the Spacewalker, notices her hesitancy and starts. "We didn't make it to Mount Weather."

"We were attacked," Clarke lets out, relieved by Finn's support.

"Attacked? By what?" Wells insists.

"Not what," Finn answers. "Who."

The whole clearing listens as the Mount Weather crew explains what they witnessed, and how Jasper Jordan was taken. Taken by Grounders. As the crew was crossing a river a spear soared through the air and struck Jasper right in his chest. Then his limp body was dragged away. Amber worriedly glances into the trees as they talk.

Set on venturing into the forest to rescue Jasper, Clarke marches to the dropship in order to prepare, and a few people follow. While Amber has no intention of following them into the suddenly claustrophobic forest, she slips after them and leans back by the dropship's entrance, hoping to see how many will help rescue Jasper. She's never spoken to him, but she's always found him funny.

To her disappointment, when Clarke emerges from the dropship again, she is only followed by Wells and Jules. To her horror, Jules spots her before she can hide.

"Amber!" She lights up. "You're joining us?"

Wells and Clarke stop at Jules' exclamation to look at Amber hopefully, and like a deer in headlights, she freezes. "Um..."
