AU: Percy is like a father figure/big brother figure to many of the YOUNG campers (Harley, Jerry, unnamed demigods that are younger, ect.)

"Hey kiddo!" Called Percy, noticing a young child struggling with his shoe lace. He looked to be about 4 or 5, surprisingly young for a demigod in camp half blood, and was wearing pj's with his camp shirt. Percy came up to the kid. "You need help?" He asked.

The young child looked up, shocked; only for his eyes to sparkle. He nodded, clearly slightly embarrassed. "I- I can't tie my sthoes." He said, a slight lisp in his voice. The little boy yawned. "I had velcwo befo camp, sho I can't tie dem." He said, his childish voice and lack of using it causing him to mispronounce words in a surprisingly cute way.

Percy chuckled, sitting down beside the kid as he took his shoelaces in his fingers. "Wanna know a secret?" Asked Percy. The child nodded.

"I didn't know how to tie my shoes until I was 10." He said in a playful whisper. The small child gasped. "Weally?" He asked. Percy chuckled.

"Really." He said, tying the boy's shoelaces. "I could never get it right! But, good for you, I'm sure that the Big house has a few spare pairs, unless you want to-."

"I wanna wearn how to tie my sthoes! I wanna be a big boy!" The small demigod said determinedly, causing another chuckle to escape the son of the sea god. "You already are, kiddo." He said, ruffling the child's red hair.

The little boy's eyes grew wide, the amber eyes looking up at the hero. "Weally? You mean it?" He asked hopefully. Percy nodded. "Yeah, I do. What's your name?" Percy asked.

"Wyatt!"

"Nice, kiddo! That's an AWSOME name! Who's your parent?" He asked. Wyatt shyly looked at Percy. "Well, Bubba says my daddy is called Hypnos." He the child said, yawning again and rubbing his eyes. Percy chuckled. "Yeah? How about we get you to Clovis, eh?" He asked.

"Thank you for," clovis yawned as he hugged his brother close, "finding him, Percy. I have a feeling he was supposed to be at Arts and Crafts, but got too drowsy to remember where he was... again." Said the older blonde, with a yawn.

"No problem Clovis. See you later Wyatt!"

"Buh-Bye Per-per- Papa!"
At that point, Percy was too far to hear it, and Clovis sighed.

....

Percy was practicing his swordsmanship, when someone tapped him on the shoulder. Putting his sword down before turning, he saw a group of small children, ranging from age 5 (Wyatt) to age 12, all looking at him with hope.

"Can you teach us to use swords too?" Asked one of the children, an 8 year old girl named Anna from the Demeter cabin.

Percy was shocked. They wanted him to teach them?

"Oh- um... sure, I can! Let's just get you kids fitted for swords or daggers, and see if we can get some of the basics today, yeah?"

A few hours later, Percy had given in to mortal exhaustion, as had all the kids long before he did. They had spent the first 2 hours determinedly learning from him and sparing each other, but after that mark, they all started getting tired, and sat down to watch Percy annihilate the dummies while they cheered. After another 3 hours, he finally sat down, exhausted.

Now, he's telling stories of his adventures, or more specifically, his snarky lines to make the children laugh.

"You ACTUALLY beat Briares by using 'shoot' in rock paper scissors?!" Asked one child, a new camper named Sylas, who was staying in the Hermes cabin. I didn't know if he was actually a Hermes kid or not. He was laughing tho, just like all the other kids. "I did." I said smugly, causing  another round of laughter.

"And you ACTUALLY beat daddy in a battle at 12?! That's so cool! You're so much cooler than Clarry says you are!" A small 7 year old, Dylan, said excitedly.

"So this is where you were, Seaweed brain." A new voice said. Percy looked up to see his girlfriend, Annabeth, standing against a tree nearby.

"Wise girl!" Percy said excitedly, eyes filled with love for his girlfriend.
Annabeth rolled her eyes fondly, sitting beside her boyfriend.

"miss Annabeth, is it true you told Mr. Percy that he drools when you first met?" Asked Harley, grinning ear to ear. Annabeth chuckled as Percy's ears turned red with embarassment.

"Why yes, I did. And he still does." Annabeth said, kissing Percy on the cheek.

...

Percy was just floating in the water near the dock, when a voice came from the shoreline.

"Woah!" Said a small girl with curly blonde hair, and blue eyes. Her face looked so much like Luke that, if Percy didn't know any better, he'd have thought she was Luke's full sister, or daughter.

This was clearly a Hermes child.

"You're Percy Jackson!" She said excitedly as Percy swam toward shore to see what she wanted, putting his elbows on the doc.

"Yeah?"
"Travis and Connor talk about you all the time! How you're the only one who won't fall for thier pranks, and the only one who can humble papa, and-"

Percy listened to the small child ramble about how Travis and Connor told her all about him.

"Really now?"

"Yeah! Is it true you flooded the girls bathroom and Clarisse after she tried to swirly you?" The child asked. Percy nodded, and the child giggled. "You're so cool!!!" She said.  Percy smiled.

"Can you teach me how to flood a bathroom too?" She asked, a mischievous look on her face. Percy paled. He would rather not be the one to teach her that, even if he wasn't scared of Clarisse.

"Well... no..."

The little girl now looked disappointed. Then, percy had an idea.

"But, I can teach you how to place pranks so simple that your brothers and sisters will fall for them." He said.

The little girl clapped her hands. "Yay!" She squealed.

...

"Percy, you are SO a dad." Grover said out of the blue once when they were hanging out, one of the few times they could. Percy looked bewildered at his best friend. "What?!"

"You are! Annabeth told me how all the little kids look up to you, as if you hold Olympus in your hands."

"I- they do not! I am NOT a-."

"Papa- Percy can you tie my sthoe again?" Asked Wyatt as he came over. Percy stopped conversation as he did so.

"Mr. percy can you tighten my armor? I wanna practice my sword skills! Soon. I'll be as great as you!" Said Sylas happily. Percy tightened his armor

"Mr. Percy, can you help me tie my hair up! I wanna do the rock wall!"

"Mr Percy, I can use the canoe, right?"

"Mr. Percy, how do I set up a trip wire again?"

"Mr Percy, can you tell if a fish is a boy or girl?"

"Mr. Percy, can I have a hug?"

"Mr. Percy, can you please tell me which Pegasus is best to ride?"

As Percy helped each child by fixing something  or telling them something, Grover looked on smugly.

After all the children left, Grover snickered, and Percy looked over to his longest-time friend. "What?"

"Papa Percy."

"Shut up!" Percy said laughing, drenching Grover in the water from his cup as the two laughed.

This came from the idea that Percy is a papa/brother figure to the young children at camp.
