I walk into Ryders house and the smell of maple hits me. We walk through the house and Ryder gets a note off of the refrigerator.
"Well turns out my moms not here, my dad had an emergency at work. " he says slowly
"okay... Should I leave? " I ask
"no, I was actually wanting to talk about something with you... " he says
"okay... "I say
"come with me... " he says
I follow him upstairs to his room. He sits on his twin size bed and motions for me to sit beside him.
"Okay..Ummm.... "he says then grabs my hand and gets down on the floor in one knee. "Rowan, who am I kidding... I really like you. " he says
My eyes widen in shock.
"you like me? " I say shocked
"yeah, will you be my girlfriend? " he ask.
"yeah... " I say
He stands and pulls me on to my feet and brings me into a hug. I savor the warmth of his body and the smell of his cologne.
"I love you... " he says
"I love you too... " I reply.
