It took several minutes before Arthur started to move around again.

Despite all of his senses telling him not to, he decided to explore the bang from above. The only thing that allowed him to check was his desire to make sure no one was hurt.

He climbed up and up and up. He kept moving through old and dusty rooms. To Arthur, it felt as if he kept going round in circles as rooms looked so similar.

Off in a room further down the long hallway, there was a flickering orange light. Arthur noticed that this was the same room that he saw through the window outside the castle.

He assumed that the bangs origin belonged to this room.

He decided to be cautious he very slowly stuck his head into the door frame.

The room had a window opposite the door frame with tattered, velvet curtains. There is a fireplace with a dim fire burning away, contrasting the darkness that the rest of the castle is covered in.

The thing that chilled Arthur most was the girl collapsed in the middle of the room.

He rushed into the room and immediately went to tend to her. To Arthur's relief, the girl was alive and just knocked out. He decided to stay with the girl until she woke up.

Arthur only got more and more anxious the longer the girl was unconscious. He was left to his thoughts of if she would ever wake up, and if she did die, would he be blamed for murder.

The room was starting to spin. This couldn't be happening, not again.

He looked down but couldn't see the girl anymore. Instead, Arthur saw his mother lying on the floor, blood pouring out her head.

Arthur shook his head, snapping back into the present, his eyes burning with tears.

While looking out into the darkness outside while the rain splashes against the window, he heard a massive gasp, causing him to jump back.

The girl, now awake, was staring at Arthur with crystal blue eyes. Her hair was brown, and her skin pale as snow.
