Chapter Four

Everything had been explained to Leo and Scarlet, about how Mr. Auron was going to be released. To prepare, Leo and Scarlet had been instructed to enter into their rooms at The CrimINNal and to lay low for a week or two. This was to make sure that Mr. Auron was not violating his agreement to not pursue Leo or Scarlet. Azure couldn't have them being killed in the middle of their operation at The CrimINNal.

With both Leo and Scarlet having rooms that they registered using aliases, Mr. Auron would have a tough time finding them. And as far as he knew, neither of them even lived in that hotel. While Spike knew that Leo used to live there, he would find that Leo no longer lived in his old room, and would likely never suspect that Leo had simply moved to another.

And, just to make sure, Leo and Scarlet were periodically monitoring the cameras within the hotel rooms, just to see if any suspicious guests arrive, who may be monitoring the hotel to see if Leo was still there. The two Dupes working under Leo and Scarlet could also keep an eye on the lobby and hallways for any suspicious lurkers.

If a couple weeks passed and nothing suspicious happened, it was decided that it would then be safe for Leo and Scarlet to resume their activities, walking around the hotel without fear of being shot. Or at least, not any more so than usual, for a place like The CrimINNal.

While he was waiting for the time to pass, Leo was actively working in his plot to defeat Azure. He knew the simplest way to do that would be to steal from her. He would steal back all the money that Azure had taken from him, and more. She likely had enough money that, a person could easily making a living off of. This was evident to Leo, by the sheer number of Dupes she had working for her, in addition to having stolen from Spike, who Leo knew was quite wealthy.

The only concern was how to do it. But that, too, would be simple. Anyone tied up can easily be tortured into divulging just about anything. He planned to subdue her, restrain her, interrogate her, steal from her, and then finally, to murder her.

After subduing her, the rest would be easy. Once she's subdued, the rest of his plot would be as good as done.

To achieve this end, Leo had found a way to circumvent Azure closely monitoring his financial transactions and receipts. He had purchased some food for himself, knowing that Azure would not look too closely at it, or make sure that he ate the food after buying it. After accruing enough food, Leo sold it in bulk on Craigslist, thereby secretly converting his allowance into the form of cash.

While it would take nearly forever for him to accumulate enough money in this way, that he could escape from his enslavement and afford to live independently of Azure, that was not his plan. Instead, his plan was to use a small amount of money to buy certain supplies, that might help him in overthrowing Azure. Leo used the cash to buy an Amazon gift card, and used the gift card to order his supplies.

In this way, Azure could not monitor what he would buy. As far as Azure would ever know, Leo innocently ate all that junk food he had purchased. Or at least, she wouldn't know otherwise, until it was too late.

Leo stood in his hotel room, beholding all the items he had purchased. He had everything he needed to conduct his coup. One of these items was an office chair that he could tie Azure to. The legs had caster wheels on them, so he could push the chair around in case he had to move her.

He also had a bunch of releasable cable ties, which he could use to restrain her to the chair.

He also had a ball-gag, that he could silence Azure and stop her from screaming. While people screaming at The CrimINNal was a common occurrence that normally wouldn't draw any unwanted attention, this situation was different. Leo knew he couldn't have Scarlet or the other two Dupes hearing Azure scream, in case they had loyalties to her.
