On The Run

The shooter stared at me and suddenly more people appeared and flooded the doorway. "Her," He points to me. A man steps out with a flame thrower, and the memory of my village burning down resurfaces in my mind. "Burn her, go find Prince Elias!" He directed someone else. Another person with a flamethrower turned around and then with a loud clang, fell to the floor.

One after another they all fall down before Elias rushes to my side. I grab his neck, pull him into a hug and weep into his neck, "I thought they killed you!"

"They'd never get past me!" He beamed proudly. He picked me up with one hand on my lower back and the other below my knees. He makes his way threw the school and runs with me in his arms. We run to our apartment to see it in chaos. Everything is out of place, books are on the floor and boxes' contenants are spread out over the floor.

Elias sets me on the couch while he gathers stuff. "Where are we gonna go, Hermano?"

Elias pauses and shrugs his shoulders, "I don't know Kait. I guess we'll just keep going, they're gonna keep finding us. They're gonna keep hunting us til our family line is destroyed with no one to take the throne." Elias is flipping through many differant books, till he stops at one book with a dark black mixed with dark red book with the title scribled on top. Elias flips through the pages til he stops and scans over a page. He slams the book. He eymptys his backpack and stuffs the book inside and continues flipping through differant books and shoves them in.

He goes to the kitchen, grabs some food, water, and other nessesities along with a wad of cash that we set aside for an emergency such as this one.

"Where are we going," I ask as he picks me up again, my arms wrapping around his neck.

"Sanchotika" (Saan-cho-tiikaa) He replies.

I stare at him. "Sanchotika?! As in the ancient land from Mami and Papi's stories? Elias, Sanchotika is a myth. A Myth told by the Elders to scare us. Why would we even go to Sanchotika?" I open the door with just a swip of my hands with telekenises.

Elias sneaks to our hidden car in the garage for emergencies and sets me in the passenger seat and the backpack at my feet after he fished through the pockets for the keys and closed my door. He slids into the drivers seat and turns on the ingnotion. The car reves as he backs up. The garage door opens and Elias backs up into the road. I press a button and the garage closes. Elias shifts into first gear and we head onto the road. A groan escapes from the back seat. I turn around and gasp in shock, mixed with a bit of horror. "ArThUr?!?!?!"
