Chapter 8

It was Kate. Her lip was bruised and she had a black eye. I invited her in and we went to the kitchen.
M: Kate, omg, what the hell happened
K: The crazy ex happened.
M: Carmen?!
K: Yes. I was walking home from yoga class. And i saw her from the distance. She was furious. At first I thought she didn't recognize me. But i guess she followed me home. And when i went for my usual late night run she cane out of nowhere and started swinging hands.
M: Kate, I'm sorry. God. What a crazy bitch...
K: well when she was done she said " i just wanted to send a message"
I was furious. At this time Lucas was calling my name so i told gim to come to the kitchen. The second he looked at Kate he knew what eas happening. He took his jacket and said
L: Kate...can we please go to the police.
K: Ehh... it's nothing... I don't think they will do anything about it.
L: No they will. After she broke up with me, she's been terrorizing every girl I've been with and every time she assaulted someone we went to police and they said if there's more than 4 similar cases between me, her and someone. Then they will take this thing further.
Kate agreed and we took my car and drive to the police station. They took our statements and daid that now it's a serious case. And that they will immediately order a restraining order. We thanked them. Drove Kate home. And went back to my place. Lucas asked if should take a long hot shower together and i ran to the bathroom as fast as i could. He ran behind me giggling like a child. After the shower we just went to bed and cuddled til we both fell asleep.
