Ticci Toby

APPEARANCE

• his hair always looks like it's a mess, usually fluffy and unkempt
- it's thick... like insanely thick
- wavy, would probably have curls if he actually took care of it
- he doesn't brush it, choosing to just run his fingers through it to get his tangles and call it a day
- refuses to cut his hair until it's causing a major inconvenience to work
- basically an overgrown wolf-cut at that point
- when he finally decides cuts it, he plays around with different styles as he takes hair off
- his final haircut is usually short and fluffy since it's so thick, similar to most fanart

• the gash/hole in the side of his mouth has closed slightly from years makeshift stitching he's done
- was tired of making a giant mess when he'd eat and drink
- he tried to close it more but got tired of the pain from trying to stitch it closed so often and gave up
- still makes small messes when eating and drinking sometimes since there's still a decent sized hole, though it's noticeably smaller
- likes to run his tongue over the scarring
- small tear in the skin on the lower half of it from playing with Sally, she grabbed at his mask and got some of the bottom flap in her hand when she did

• hates wearing his goggles, so they're on top of his head most of the time
- practically refuses to wear them when he's not on a mission
- this is due to sensory issues, feels bad man
- sometimes he uses them as a headband when his hair gets in it's longer stages
- small cracks around the edges
- he put scotch tape over them and called it a day

• has noticeable bags under his eyes
- this man barely sleeps anymore
- scared of the nightmares he use to get, even though he hasn't dreamed properly in years
- sometimes he tries to hide them with makeup, but only when his hair is short so he doesn't sweat it off (again)
- sees them as a reminder he's still human and not just a mindless proxy
- sometimes uses the intensity of the bags to determine if he should just stay up or sleep

PERSONALITY

• toby is a bit fruity
- he's bisexual, leaning towards men though
- one of his biggest crushes was liu
- uses he/they pronouns, though still identifies as a cis-man

• we all know toby's backstory, but in my universe after slender had took him in he put up a mental block for toby's past
- he still remembers bits and pieces, but it's more so like how fuzzy memories look in movies
- toby thinks slender did it because he likes him, and while that was a very small part of it it was mostly because it was messing with his performance on missions
- the one thing he still remembers, besides the hazy glimpses into his memories, is his mother and sister; he has no memories of his father
- toby and ben are close friends, but toby doesn't really remember that they knew each other as children; toby just always thought he had a strong pull towards ben (this came from a roleplay i did with a friend but i really liked the idea so i've kept it)

• super shy and timid when he meets someone new
- he's so use to being made fun of for his disorders by a lot of the pastas that he observes people before opening up
- tries to suppress his vocal tics around new people which causes some of his motor tics to act up
- basically a shelter puppy honestly

• speaking of practically being a shelter puppy he is so protective of those he loves
- there's definitely been at least several times where toby has almost went feral on someone who was being just a bit too mean to his friends
- he has hopped into fights when seeing one of his friends in the mist of a scuffle, even if it gave his friend an unfair advantage
- toby will, and has, killed just because a normal human has upset his friend

• he is... eccentric to say the least, his interests are all over
- loves 'cringe' stuff
- toby had barely hooked up a satellite to an outpost he frequents in hopes to catch his favorite shows away from home
- one of those shows is my little pony, his favorite pony is pinkie pie
- he's super childish, even if he can be serious sometimes, so he really likes to hang around sally to play and talk about the shows they like
- loves fixing up broken phones he finds, often asks ben for help
- toby will sell the phones to pastas who need one, though if it's to replace a broken one he'll give them a discount if they give him the broken one
- loves to make flower crowns, even if they're not good, because it helps stabilize his hands

• this is a list of toby's verbal tics
- wow, shit, and/or fuck; usually slip into conversation randomly, he hates these the most as they've definitely made conversations weird. 'hey, do you want to— fuck! oh, go-od no, i'm sorry... not what i mean-nt.'
- he repeats phrases and sentences under his breath a lot, has gotten him into a few fights because they thought he was 'mocking' them
- yum-yummy, it's the silliest one and it never fails to make his friends laugh so it's one of his favorites
- honk. that's it. just honk.

• these are the motor tics toby has
- head jerking up and to the side, usually paired with a verbal tic
- knuckle cracking, though this one hurts his fingers due to to how frequently he does it
- teeth chomping, this one is sally's favorite so he pretends like he's going to bite her
- clapping, he randomly claps a lot; this has messed up a few stealth missions
- punching himself in the head, usually done when frustrated or trying to remember something
- finger snapping, usually to the tempo of some song playing in his head
- finger chewing is a huge thing for toby so his fingers are all scarred up, when confronted about it he just mutters 'snack'
- biting his cheek, but the one that's not fucked up
- biting himself or others gently, he just really likes biting
